6th November 2010 Very hazy dark amber beer. Good white head. Sweet strawberry nose. Dry crisp palate. Minerally crisp freshness host Strawberry candy. Lactose sweetness follows and the two things come together to resemble something like the promised Strawberry Shortcake. Finishes minerally crisp. Love Shorts and like this one - but I agree with another rater that this would work better as a big beer.

Refreshing complex change of pace fruit beer.

Bottle from bulldogp04! Reddish orange pour. Frothy off white head. Aroma is remarkably similar to the name. With just a touch of honey and beer noticeable. Flavor is sweet with the flavor of the damn name. Holy crap. A tiny bit artificial, but still this stuff is crazy. Fun beer and good. Kudos for the balls to brew something like this!

A: We’ve got a gusher...once things settle down the pour is a red-tinted orange color, perhaps some pink, with a big white head.
S: Lots of sour (lactic) notes which you can smell far away from the glass. Definitely some tart berry notes as well, and I can pick up some sweetness from the milk sugar. A hint of buttery graham cracker crust.
T: Quite tart and dry with some moderate strawberry flavor. I get some of the same graham cracker crust as the nose exhibited, but not so much the sweetness.
M: The body is medium with tons of carbonation (due to the infection) and a very dry, tart finish.
D: This was pretty tough to drink due to the intense sourness. It’s too bad Short’s has so many problems as these beers all sound really great.
