Draft. Poured reddish brown color and an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tart strawberry fruit and sweet dough aroma. Medium body with with a smooth rich texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy tingly tart berry flavor with a medium to heavy tart berry finish of moderate to long duration. Refreshing complex change of pace fruit beer.

Pours a reddish golden with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma I did get the light strawberry and biscuity notes. Flavor was the same and the beer was more bitter then I was expecting. Not artificial, but not quite strawberry shortcake either.

MBGSF ’10. My notes simply say "No notes needed, this smelled and tasted just like you’d expect". Now, if that’s good or bad, I’ll let you decide.

Rusty red pour with a small, short-lived, off-white head. Strong strawberry aroma with notes of toffee, toast, malted milk and graham cracker. The flavor is pretty much the same as the aroma. It comes off a tad weak though because of a high carbonation level in the beer that washes a lot of the flavor off your tongue quickly. The body is light and clean feeling. Overall it’s sort of a one-note beer but it’s a pleasant and unique note.

Growler. Thanks ben! Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with golden brown edges. No head or lace. Huge strawberry nose. Creamy medium body. A little sticky. Toasty. Caramelly. Long cardboardy strawberry finish.

On tap at the GTMW. Murky amber with a thin white head and served with a strawberry and whipped cream on top. Aroma is most definitely of strawberry shortcake with fresh smelling strawberries mixed with bready malt, smells really good. Taste doesn’t quite live up to the aroma but still has taste of fresh strawberries, mild bready malt and a little tartness to it.

Poured into a pint glass. Big thanks to Shumista for this.
4.5 A: Hazy orange/ruby red color. Two fingers of frothy, but dense off white head with excellent retention and a decent amount of lacing.
4.5 S: Holy shit! This smells unreasonably similar to strawberry short cake. I can smell the strawberries, the cake underneath and even the freakin whipped cream on top. Well done.
3.5 T: The taste takes this from the realm of pastries back to the realm of beer that resembles pastries. The taste is good, but it I think it could have been great if it had followed along the lines of NG fruit twins. Anyway, the strawberries and lactose are very apparent and there’s a complementary malty sweetness with just enough balancing bitterness to prevent this from getting cloying.
4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Moderate, but active carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice, but I think this beer would have been overall more successful with a thick, viscous body. Super smooth.
4.0 D: I give them an A+ for creativity. This is quite and interesting beer. The brewers must really know what they’re doing. Anyway, this beer could have been just about perfect if they loaded more strawberries into this.

Dog Days of Summer Gathering.
amber color, white head.
aroma, desert beer, loaded with strawberries, mild caramel malts.
flavors, at first the strawberries are all over the place, hinting at desert-like cake palate, but toward the end, it tends to become a bit over the top. Carbonation is a little high and fizzy.
Some caramel malts, hints of chocolate and mild lactic finish. Enjoyed the use of strawberries, adding this extra earthly fruit-berry mouthfeel.
I think this beer would be nice with an extra touch of abv.
