COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Superfluid is an American Double IPA with a large, but basic malt bill that explodes with resiny hop aromas! The hop flavors are the focus of this beer due to the lack of sweet specialty grains. Tasty qualities of citrus fruit and berries explode on the palate. Superfluid’s perfect bitterness resonates across the palate, complementing the awesome hop intensity.

Bottle... Pours clear and golden with amber highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is a medley of juicy tropical fruits and citrus fruits accompanied by a musky component. Full-bodied and fatty with modest carbonation. The flavor features juicy, sweet tropical fruits, sugar cookies, and bitter citrus rinds. Lengthy, heavily bitter finish. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

Tap: Muddy amber body with orange highlights, mostly hazy with a foamy off-white cap. Aroma loaded with hops; leafy, grassy, resinous, herbaceous, ashy, peppery, & with a largely floral back-end. Notes of citrus peel & bitter grapefruit pith buried underneath. Small hint of toasted caramel. Flavor is bitter, but not as bitter as you’d expect from the whopping 177 IBU that’s listed. Heavy notes of leaves, ashy white pepper, resinous pine needles, grapefruit rind, sugar crusted orange peel, & perfume. Lingers with a bitterness of florals & citrus rind on the back of the tongue; slightly coating mouth feel with a modest resin feel, just shy of sticky. Nice stuff.

Pour on tap, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of resin, pine, and earthy notes with a hint of spice, biscuit, bread, touch of citrus in there with some orange. Taste was a mix of orange, grapefruit, pine, some resinous notes with a touch of spice into some biscuit, bread, some slight spice, finishing bitter.

Form a bottle into snifter. Light clear peach orange color with large off-white head that recedes quickly leaving lots of lacing. Nose is oranges, grapefruit, lemon, biscuit, floral, pine. Smooth body, moderate to soft carbonation, initial caramel sweetness, moderate bitterness in the finish, very well balanced. Some resin in the finish.Very good IIPA.

Great aroma but isn’t too strong. Hazy golden with a with frothy head. I catch something spicy on the initial flavor. Finishes a little bitter.

Bottled. Pours hazy golden lemon honey color, small white head. Aroma is lots of tropical fruit, big pineapple, mango, papaya, malt backbone, bit of resin. Really good. Flavor is very hoppy up front, big pineapple again comes through, lemon, citrus, orange peel, some tropical fruits. Really hoppy with lots of pineapple and tropical fruits. Very Nice.

Pours a nice clearish straw color, with a green tropical hops aroma. Pale malt background for a nice hoppy and medium bodied brew, clean finish with a nice balance of abv and heat. Creamy and bitter aftertaste with a pleasant lingering hoppiness.

Bottled 3/16, drank 3/26. Hop flavor blend is the hero rather than brute hop bitterness. Medium body. Alcohol doesn’t show.

Bottle from a recent trade. Thanks! Snifter at home. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a thin disappearing head. No lacing. Aroma is pine, orange zest, slight grapefruit, and herbs. The taste is a face punch of bitter hops, spruce resin, birch sap, orange, grapefruit, dandelion, and herbs. The body is medium for a DIPA and the carb was medium. Serious bitterness on the finish that lingers for quite some time. Just a little over the top for my palette. A bit oily and chewy.
