COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sustenance Black Beer, classically referred to as a Schwartz beer, is a dark American lager brewed in the spring. Soft and sweet on the palate, the roasted, dark caramel grains lend to satisfying drinking experience, while lager yeast creates a refreshing thirst-quenching sensation. This combination provides a rich, full-flavored, light bodied brew.

The aroma is sweet and lightly roasted, very typical and right on for the style. The lager pours black rock with a decent dark tan head. The flavor is a crispy dark roasted malty lager with good flavors on a nice body. It ends a bit sweet and very refreshing on the palate.

Bottle from rayl101. Black pour with a small beige head, good lace. Aroma was outstanding. Incredibly clean mix of dark roast, cocoa and hints of burnt marshmallow. Flavors were where this one shined though. Fantastic roasted malt flavors yet it retained a soft, clean palate lending to extreme drinkability. So refreshing. This is what the style should strive for. Top notch.

Bottle. Pours black. Large dark tan head. Very creamy. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Very roasty flavor with some bitterness. Palate is relatively thick. Commercial description is very accurate. Tons of roast with some chocolate. Very tasty brew, but don’t think I could drink two of this in a sitting even with the relatively low alcohol content

Dark brown with a slowly dissipating rocky brown head that leaves patches of thick lace. Roasty aroma with chocolate, dark fruit, mild citrus and grains. Thicker and richer than most Schwarzbiers with a heavy roasted quality. Some chocolate and coffee notes along with dark fruits
