Humble comfort in every sip
Chocolate Wheat is a Porter brewed with chocolate malt, wheat malt, and well-chosen specialty grains. The combination creates a deep black, full-bodied beer that provides subtle hop flavors and rich malt tones. Chocolate Wheat balances the flavors of roasted caramel, coffee, and chocolate, which ends in a smooth finish.

12oz bottle from Kalamazoo megabev. Completely black pour with purple/brown hues. Head was cappuccino colored and disappeared quickly. Strong chocolate scent. Iron-like scent detectable as well. Medium, slightly watery mouth feel and carbonation. Very toasty flavor, very roasted nuts, maybe almonds, and dark chocolate that's bitter. Finish is a lot more roasted malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Kind of an odd one. Not really getting chocolate flavors... mostly just tastes like a wheat beer with roasty malt.

Bottle from mikem409, thanks Mike! Pours such a dark brown that it is almost black, with a light brown head around the edges. Some nice streaks of lace. Aroma has caramel, cocoa powder and some earth. Taste is sweet caramel, liquid chocolate and more cocoa. Yummy sweet. Medium bodied with a touch of alcohol. Finishes sweet, with some light bitterness. Solid effort, if a touch sweet. 13.8

Pours a dark dark brown with a nice dark chocolate colored head. The aroma brings a sugary chocolate note like a chocolatey cereal. The taste brings flavors of smooth chocolate with a roasty malt finish. A fizzed carbonation in the back feel. Spot on with the name. A unique brew. A prominent wheat taste mixed with chocolate. Overall a very creative final product. Shorts knows how to mix it up.
