Smooth, with a nice chocolately roasty taste. It wasn’t overly bitter, but smooth like an oatmeal stout. Very enjoyable to drink. Robust chocolate taste, with slight hop bitterness and a nice body.

Aug 29, 2008 tap at shorts.....darker reddish brown pour with a frothy light brown head.... slighty bready aroma with just a hint of chocolate but was expecting a little bit more....chocolate became more apparent in the flavor with more of a roasted malt addition to it. semi-lively carbonation....pretty good.

Aug 15, 2008 On tap at Shorts in a sampler glass. Pours dark black with a beige head. Nose of chocolate and some banana. Chocolate, brown sugar, banana, wheat and a touch of spice in the flavors. Bittersweet finish. With the wheat, I was not thinking this was going to be classified as a stout. Tasty though.

pour is very deep brown with red hints, and a nice off brown head. flavor is quite chocolatey, with a little bit of coffee in the back. only let down is that it is a little bit thin for my stout tastes.

Jul 28, 2008 Sampled at Hopcat’s. This one was quite impressive, I liked it. dark brown/black body with small dark brown head...aroma of charred mlats, bitter chocolate, and a light coffee finish...flavor is of heavily roasted chocolate, coffee, dough, and walnut...great, creamy mouthfeel.

Jul 22, 2008 Smores, anyone? This dark roasted malt matched with a tan head spells dessert. Full of flavor and works the palate. A great choice for the end of the night.
