Dark brown-amber beer, cloudy. Frothy tan head. Very dark for an IPA! Soft palate, a little dry. Deep rich hops. Marmaladey grapefruit, fairly bitter. Aniseed spice. Satisfying and sophisticated.

Marsiblursi (2983) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 15, 2012
(Bottle) Pours deep amber with a small sand coloured head. The aroma holds hoppy notes of wood, black currant, resin, apricots, citrus and new cut grass. Floral, grapefruity and tropical (mango) undertones. Honey, caramel and toffee to back it up. The flavour is near medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter with notes of grapefruit, oranges, apricot, resin, wood, flowers, toffee, caramel and honey. The mouthfeel is soft, light sticky and a bit numbing. Lingering bitterness. Medium to full bodied.

Luminescent deep orange pour. Aroma has raisins, chocolate, vanilla, oak, thick malt, quite oxidized (old bottle), some candy and brown sugar. Thick and oxidized with pine, oak, oil, booze, syrup - more like a BW.

Dark amber pour, not much head. Aroma has caramel, figs, fruits, old hops, citrus, pine, orange.Taste has aged malts, caramel, figs, syrup, bitterness from the aged hops. At this point, it’s really barley wine-ish, and fairly nice at that.

Bottle vintage 620 of 798 thanks to ditmier. Pours out cloudy amber topped with a tan head. Aroma was tons of floral hop notes along with sweet caramel and grapefruit peel. Taste more of the hops lots of floral and pine. This beer is had lots of hop bite for its age.

2007 Bottle - Thanks hoppymeal!!! - Bottle620/798...Pours a hazy orange with a small beige head...aroma is massively floral hops, pithy grapefruit peel, pine pitch...flavour is similar, immediately bitter, almost caustic, citrus pith, grainy...odd sweetness that I would liken to table sugar, manages to finish malty and sweet...very interesting brew...

Bomber from the brewery. Orange body with lots of white foam. Some hop and citrus aroma. Above average mouthfeel. Nicely drinkable, with fruit ameloriating the hop bite. Did not seem to be overly hoppy, but it is there
