Our lightest and yet very, very tasty. With a domestic lager quality about it, this beer still stands alone as a well crafted micro lager. Light hops and simple malts provide easy session ability for the beginner microbrew consumer. The “training wheel beer”.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2013 Bottle: thanks, Jeff! Hazed, bright straw color with almost no head, just a soapy white collar. Aroma is full of sweet bread & grain, lots of lemon zest, a touch of crisp apple, & a fresh helping of lager yeast. Taste is light & crisp with some light bread, grain, faint DMS, lager yeast, mild lemon zest, & a touch of corn-like sweetness in the finish. A touch metallic with even more DMS in the aftertaste. A decent crafted lager if you’re looking to throw back a bunch.

Mostly clear pale yellow straw color. Minimal white head. Big white corn flavor, little else. Light body. Crisp, lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Mild sweet taste, light bitter. Solid light lager, with a good finish to it. as light beers go I rate at the top of the malt heap.

bottle thanks to mike. nose is full of a corn and pils malt. pours fairly clear, very pale yellow, almost no head. thankfully it tastes a little better than it smells. a touch sweet and sugary. could stand to dry out a little and increase the carbonation. otherwise, not offensive or great.

tap. Pale golden with small head. As light beers go, this is pretty decent, but it’s a style that underwhelms. I’d rather have just about anything else Shorts makes.

I am absolutely hoping this was a skunked bottle. I will re-rate this with the second bottle I have in the fridge. It was had at a tasting on January 13. The pour is decent. It’s a foggy gold with a decent white head, leaving no lace. This is the last of the good. The aroma smells like you just drained a can of processed crab meat, and poured the juice into a glass. Awful. The taste is just as awful, and it’s trying to rot my palate as it sits there. Like I said, I am definitely hoping that the bottle was just skunked and the second one will be better. A re-rate to come

Very light and easy drinking. Almost seems like a shandy type lager with a lot of lemon. A slight black pepper feel as it goes down. A big bready finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light yellow color with a medium foamy head that fades slowly and leaves a little soapy lacing. Aroma is grass, lemons, grain, and light skunk. Crisp lager taste with some nice grass and lemony hops. I think the light skunkiness is just because the bottles is a few months old. Stinging, fizzy carbonation. Not bad overall but not something I enjoy drinking very often.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light lemon, faint cereal notes, and a touch of grass grass. It pours a dull yellow with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with light grain/cereal notes. The finish has light grass and just a hint of lemon. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, it’s a summer thirst quencher and nothing more.

Pours a very clear straw yellow. Smells are that of mushed fruit and yeast. Taste is watery but not as much as other lagers. It is quite refreshing. Palate is light bodied. Whenever you buy a mixed 12 pack there usually is a "filler" beer and well......

A decent beer for people just getting into craft beer. This has a lot of the same qualities as a Bud, Coors, or Miller Light, but without the "metallic" taste. Personally, I would not buy this beer again.
