3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Michigan Winter Beer Festival. This beer REALLY tastes like peanuts and is one of the beers I had at the festival that really stood out to me. It wasn’t the BEST beer I’ve had, but it’s certainly a good beer and the flavor is so interesting I consider it a must-try.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
27th April 2011
Opaque black beer, small tan head. Nose of unshelled peanuts! Light dry palate, crispy. Mild dark malts with unsweet peanut and mild minerals. Interesting contrast between the Porter like tangy dark malt and the earth peanut. Slightly weird - but tasty!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by afdempse. Thanks Adam!
The beer appears a dark brown shade with a small beige head.
The aroma is quite interesting, with notes of roast, light chocolate, sweet malts, dark fruits, and a prominent scent of you guessed it...peanuts. It smells like we’re gonna get drunk at the circus.
The flavor brings mostly peanuts, along with some roast character and a mild funk presence. The beer is well done, albeit another wild idea from Short’s. Intriguing and fun, I enjoyed this beer and would have it again. A small sample was plenty for me, however.

Nice dark pour. Small tan coloured head. Chocolate peanut cigarette butt and bitter coffee aroma. Tastes better with no cigarette but some lactic sourness. Black coffee and chocolate covered peanut butter. Nice thick body. I love shorts but wasnt into this one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate aroma. Medium sweet chocolate flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a soft sweet beer.

Tart, fruity, brett’y, unclean - infected. Chemical.
No peanut here, mostly infection. Tastes OK, though. But very strange.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours an opaque black with a small, dissipating beige head. Very odd but interesting aroma, peanut not so much as overripe raisins. Medium body, very rustic tart raisins and a litlte wood. Again I don’t pick up any peanut whatsoever - more tart cherries. No real bitterness. An interesting infection this time from Shorts! 030612
