Fin (2357), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jul 2, 2008 Bottle courtesy of my dad, had this 28-06-08 Pours reddy brown with off white decent sized head. Fruit and malty with some hoppy back up, there is some decent bitterness towards the end and whilst I quite liked this beer it lacked a bit of oomph considering the 5.2 abv, still not too bad. leaparsons (4000), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 10, 2007 Bottle. Deep ruby and brown with an off-white foam. Aromas are toffee, chocolate and roast malts with some berry fruit. Spicy pine hops as per a decent IPA. Flavours are sweet malts with some berry fruitiness. Quite chewy with good prickly bitterness. Some warming alcohol. The finish is fruity and bitter. Pretty good.
