johndoughty (1660), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England May 31, 2008 Bottle.Tried the night after the excellent Lordships Own. Not quite so impressive but still quite reasonable. Lively at first but soon calms down. Some hops and citrus with a pleasant opening aroma. A bit too delicate for me but still worth trying.
leaparsons (3963), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 10, 2007 Bottle. Hazy gold with a small white head. Aromas are sweet hops with citrus and some pine. Flavours are bitter lemon with spicy prickly pine hops. Fairly green. Nice bitterness on the finish. Decent. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 23, 2007 Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Gold colour with bubbly white head. Very citrusy hop aroma. Almost sour lemon curd in mouth, some grapefruit. Very hoppy finish. Probably the hoppiest Titanic beer I’ve had. Still got trademark rich malt though. It’s ok, but not exactly subtle. It is a bit lemon curdy. DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 23, 2006 Cask Handpump at the Borough Arms, Crewe 20/05/2001
Pale and sweet ot the palate. Hoppy aftertaste. Nuffield (2541), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Jul 1, 2003 Updated: Aug 19, 2003One of the line of seasonal beers brewed by Titanic at Shugborough (and the pump clip says "Shugborough Brewery" with "Crafted by Titanic Brewing" beneath it). Light golden color, clear, with a nice film of white head. Soft aroma, fruity, bearing witness to the fruity flavors (apples, watered-down orange juice, grapefuit, grape) which burst out unexpectedly. Sweet up front, but only masking the dry hoppy finish which pounds away with grapefruit-rind-like effect. Ultimately this becomes too acidic and medicinal, just too much after a bit. Gentle carbonation provides some life. Interesting, though not exactly impressive. (on tap, Hobgoblin, Oxford)
