500ml can. Pale golden body with a partly lasting white head. Aroma of hay, citrus and hints of perfume... Taste of malty hey. Medium bitter aftertaste. Far from bad but not even close to be remembered.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 stunetii (90) - Bergen, NORWAY, NORWAY - AUG 14, 2011
Bottle purchased in Stara Zagora at the end of July, 2011. Pours with a light golden color, culminating in a small-sized, but a reasonably well-retained head. Lacing is pretty weak, however. The aroma mildly sweet and grainy. The mouth feel is watery. Tastes mildly sweet, but the flavor is weak overall. It’s not a bad beer, but lacks much in the way of flavor.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - AUG 4, 2011
Pale yellow. Aroma of slightly skunky herbal hop. Sweetish corn-malts, faint herbal hop. Ok industrial and bland but with a tiny bit off hop character.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 ElDesmadre (944) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUL 18, 2011
Bottle. Straw yellow with a frothy, quite durable head. Faint malty-hoppy aroma, watery malty taste very low on bitterness, with some metal. Nevertheless it is yet drinkable.
2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 txspartan (878) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - JUN 11, 2011
Nice flavour for a canned lager. Watery texture, though. Not entirely without merit.

Bottle, from Romanian-Bulgarian grocer in Paphos. Ugly gold with barely any head. Mild corny aroma. Cornflake sugars cloy on the tongue. Sweet-sour. Mildly unpleasant.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 heavy (1956) - Split, CROATIA - FEB 8, 2011
21/01 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks for sharing! As Shumensko premium, but it had also 4,6% ABV. It poured golden body with small head. Corn, cornflakes and honey malt cloying aroma. A bit better flavor, had some notes of herbal hops, but it’s generally sweetish, dusty, grainy, crude at moments with lot of honey malt. Still boring. Medium in body with short corky and dusty finish. Blah.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 sinte (240) - UDINE, ITALY - JAN 26, 2011
Bottle 1L.
Dark yellow body, with a small white head, fully diminishing with virtually no lacing.
Heavy fruity aroma (grapes, wine).
Heavy sweet flavour with, maybe, some faint bitter note after a while.
Light body with a watery texture; light carbonation.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Marko (3614) - Split, CROATIA - JAN 23, 2011
Shumensko Premium Beer, 4.6%, huge thanks to Marin for bringing it from, humm, Sofia I guess. Shared with ogivlado and heavy. Poured a golden body with a small white head that went away fast. Light grainy, interesting sweet nose, ending dry. Weak notes of corn I guess. The taste is... humm, light yeastiness and some malt (dog food, eh). And that’s it. No real bitterness. Ah well, what could one expect from a mainstream Bulgarian lager...
