Pour on tap, dark reddish purple pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of funky blueberry, tart berry, very sour lemon, some slight caramel, biscuit into a bit of funky, earthy notes. Taste was a mix of big tart lemon, slight acetic acid/burning into a bitof blueberry, raspberry notes with a touch of oak, funk, finishing very tart, dry. A bit one dimensional, and overly acidic, but overall decently made.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours murky and burnt-orange with purple highlights and no head. The aroma is a nice balance of vanilla, berries and woody funk. Medium to full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is delightfully sour and super fruity. Blueberries? The bottle says so. Most importantly, this is just fruity, sour and delicious. Thanks to landhoney for sharing this world class bottle of beer!

375ml bottle. Medium Sour and tartness. Red wine. Sour Blueberries. Clean finish. Noticeably different base from the other side project sours and it works really well with the berries.

Bottle at The Side Project Cellar - Pours reddish purple with a small off-white head. The aroma has tart blueberry, oak, vanilla, vinegar and fleshy fruit. It has a medium crisp body with light sharp carbonation. The taste has citrus, blueberries, bugs, oak and a bit of vanilla that keeps it from being too sour. The finish has lemon, sharp herbal notes and clean blueberries. Really nice.

Bottle @ The Festival 2014. Purple colored pour with a fizzy pinkish head. Nose is quite sour. Slightly acetic, a lot of berry, and a bit of red wine. Fairly vinous and slightly grassy. A lot of lemon, too. Flavor is intensely sour. Just like...wow. Red wine vinegar, lemon juice, and tart berries. A ton of vinous fruits, berry skin, and yogurt. Just way too sour.

Bottle: Nice color, some mix of berry blue, indigo, & fuchsia with a light pink & lavender foam on top that fizzes out quickly. Aroma of acidic blueberry skins, mild horsey funk, lemon flesh, hints of yogurty lacto sourness, & a touch of vinous tannics, perhaps even with a sharp, wine-like booziness towards the very finish. Taste is super sour up front, lots of sharp blueberry flavor but I believe the lemon, lacto, & yogurt presence is even more powerful on the palate. Blueberry takes a backseat but is still noticeable... Maybe more so towards the finish where it actually gets a hint of sweetness. Modest wood oak presence, slightly musty with a hint of damp hay funk. Some lemon, acetic acid, vinegar, & vanilla yogurt all collide towards a dry, mildly vinous finish. Hints of tannins & underripe blueberry skins settle after the beer is gone. Tasty... Really, really tasty. But I preferred HF Blueberry Flora to this.

Last taste of this beer at WTF. Purple color, light head. Sour as hell. Remarkably sour. Vinegary sourness, just crazy how sour it is. Blueberry flavor is there, but its like sour unripe blueberry. The first beer from SP that I didn’t love.
