Fuzzy is an American Wild Ale that was fermented in and aged in Chardonnay barrels with a blend of wild yeast and bacteria from our family’s farm and our house souring cultures. Once mature, the beer was aged on close to four pounds per gallon of Missouri-grown White Peaches for an additional six months before an extended bottle conditioning.

Bottle @ Himmeriget. Pours hazy deep yellow with a small frothy white head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity and tiny funky with crackers, lemon juice, lime juice, ripe peaches, hay, minerals, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is heavy sour, fruity and tiny funky. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouth-puckering, tiny peach skin astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is heavy sour with plenty of ripe peaches and peach skin astringency. Very one note and a bit too sour but the peach character is great making this is hugely refreshing simple sour. Must confess I expected something more complex given the hype but sometimes simple is just as good.

Bottle @ Himmeriget. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of yellow gummi bears, sugar covered apricots, apricots, vanilla, waffles, passion and some moldy oak notes. The taste is very sour with bright notes of peach, apricots, some funk, vinegar, acidic white wine and a juicy and refreshing palate. Delicate!
