My Chardonnay barrel fermented, Blonde American Wild Ale that has been aging for 18 months in oak that was then aged on Turkish Apricots specifically for this event. Same base beer as Fuzzy, but with Apricots instead of Peaches

First served at Lions, Tigers, and Beers 2014 - Pending larger scale release.

Bottle. Yellow pour with a white head. Muted apricot bouquet. Sour and delicious with muted apricot highlights. Not overly complex but with wonderful vinous and barrel undercurrents. Really good mouthfeel. Good body

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Very hazy orange body. Small white head. Strong apricot aroma. Oak. White wine. And immediately the taste is incredibly sour. The sourest apricots I can imagine. Overwhelming. Really great apricot flavor, but it just gets so sour. Just a bit of oak and white wine remain. Low carbonation. It’s good, but so sour. Completely covers up anything else going on.

Bottle - pours hazy light yellow. Nose is apricots, tart, sour, oak. Taste is freaking sour, apricots are somewhat tasteable. The nose was good but it’s hard to drink.

Thanks Dustin! Hazy gold, white head. Apricots big up front, followed by a nice yeasty funk, lemony sourness, Chardonnay grape flavor, wet hay, unripe peaches. Nice!

Bottle thanks to Dustin. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong apricot, nectarine, oak, light funk. Thin mouth, very tart apricot, nectarine, acidic, very sour, really good.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2015 The beer is an orange juice gold color. Smallish white head. Very cloudy. Head dissipates quickly. The aroma is big on apricots. Pretty good lacto note. Not much funk. Very nice juicy fruit aroma. The taste is very sour. You get some nice fruit but the acidity is just too aggressive for me. Big pucker. Fairly light body. Good but too sour.

From short notes.... Pour is a murky bright peach juice with no head. Amazing super peachy nose. Very sour lemony tones as well. Sour and sour. Taste is very peach forward, but then gets buried in big lactic sour. Some yogurt and perm chemical.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is fairly fruity with quite a bit of apricots. Light acidity in the aroma with some citrus and light oak notes. Hints of tropical fruit. Pours a murky, orange with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is very acidic with quite a bit of apricot. So much acidity. Light oak and faint malt notes. Hints of tropical fruit are hiding there somewhere. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringnecy and low alcohol warmth. Overall, this beer is way, way too sour. You are able to pick up the apricots but not much else with all the acidity. Really tough to drink with all the acidity.

Bottle, pours murky golden orange with small white head. Aroma is dried apricot, vanilla bean, oak, and other sour notes. Pretty pleasant, flavor not so much. So overly sour, acidic, and sharp that it’s not enjoyable. Back of your head sweats after each sip. Heartburn in chest immediately. If you like jester king or gross bruery sours, you will dig this. Someone told me that people were saying this is better than fou foune....those people need a thorough beating. Hype

Orange and bright and beautiful pour. 375ml bottle at side project ($25). White head. Makes your whole head suck in from the tartness. So dry. Burns your throat a little. I gues my higher rating is because I appreciate it. But it is crazy and almost hard to enjoy
