My Chardonnay barrel fermented, Blonde American Wild Ale that has been aging for 18 months in oak that was then aged on Turkish Apricots specifically for this event. Same base beer as Fuzzy, but with Apricots instead of Peaches

First served at Lions, Tigers, and Beers 2014 - Pending larger scale release.

Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. The aroma has a blend of smoothness and tartness, fresh apricots, mild bugs, pepper, white wine and oak. It has a fairly light crisp body with snappy carbonation. The taste has more bite, nectar fruit, good amount of sourness, lots of apricots, spices and fleshiness. The finish is bright and fruity with lots of white wine notes. Another winner from Side Project.

Bottle. Really hazy golden pour with white head. Apricot and funk aromas. Tart apricot and sourness; wine and barrel tones.

Bottle; Pour is murky golden, with a very modest, frothy white head into this glass - it dissipates quickly into nothingness - perhaps the clear negative present from my pour - The nose is heavy acetic, grasses, nectarine, earth barrel presence. The flavor profile busted my face - going off of memory, it trumped the fuzzy experience from that perspective - making this variant more one dimensional in comparison. But again - that’s my limited memory talking. The shot to the face hits the jaw in an upland manner, but there’s far more depth here in comparison. Heavy acetic, very light lactic in comparison to fuzzy (memory), with stone fruit skin and juice, bitter grass, with wine barrel, lemon zest, riesling, feint pepper - It’s nice. And somewhat ridiculous

Pour out of bottle at FOBAB 2014, hazy golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big acetic, lactic acid with some malic acid from the apricots, some stone fruits with peach, touch of oak, slight white wine notes with some funk. Taste was a mix of funky earth, vanilla, peach and apricot into some very tart lacto, acetic notes with a hint of white grape, oak, finishing very tart.

Bottle at Side project cellar. Pour is hazy Gold with a small white head. Aroma is biting sourness with loads of stone fruit and some raw apricots. Flavor is super tart with Lots of stone fruit and Light funk. Really tart but smooths out in the finish which makes it quite drinkable.

On tap @ FoBAB 2014. Pour is cloudy orange/yellow with a small white head. Flavor and aroma of lactic acid, slight vinegar, yogurt, vanilla extract, oak, white wine, and apricots. Finish is a bit more sour than the body.

Hazy gold, thin fuzzy white lasts. Acetic plastic nose, light rind and skin. Puckeringly sour, jaw busted with apricot, heavy skin, oily palate near end slathered tongue, slick, biting carbonation gives it something.

On tap at fobab. Cloudy straw colored pour with a slight white head. Aromas of apricot, vinegar, big lactic acid. Taste is a bit too overly tart for me. This one may have gotten a bit out of control. I was expecting better. Medium body and medium carb.
