Bottle thanks to Dustin. Pours a cloudy orange with medium off white head. The aroma is strong brett, oak, funk, tropical fruit. Medium mouth, nice tartness, citrus, juicy, light oak, brett, really enjoyed this one.

(750ml bottle) very cloudy orange, lots of fine offwhite bubbles. Nose of hay, lacto, sweet malt, corn?, slightly subdued. Taste of lemon, brett, vinous, lacto, easy to drink, sawdust, earth, complex and delicious. Nice fine bubbles, tart linger, touch of honey and vinegar.

Bottle shared thanks to JBPortland. Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a finger of gaseous foam. Nose is tannic oak, foggy grain, citrus and paraffin wax. Palate follows with some nice layers of rustic grain, foggy wet horse blanket, lemon pith and a lingering minerality that carries the flavors out nicely but certainly not the best offering from Side Project.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2014 750ml bottle pours semi clear pale brown orange with a finger of head. Nose is a lot of rubber and some plastic, some funk and acidity and soft earthy cirtus, but unfortunately the nose is just weird, there’s no way around it...the taste makes up with juicy earthy rustic stonefruit, touches of toasty grain, some nice light oak funk, still some hints of rubber. Finishes dry with some light bready fruit funk and pretty nicely balanced acidity. Overall more that I liked about it than disliked but some weird elements for sure.

Bottle shared by Collin. Cloudy burnt orange pour with a white head. Mild fruity aromas. Tart but wonderful fruity and citrus notes. Soft on the plate with just enough maltiness to combat the sour berry notes. Complex with a good mouthfeel and body.

Hazed yellow/brown pour with clean white head and lace. Aroma is a touch of fruity esters and sour funk. Sweet start goes straight to a barnyard funk with some fruity esters and spiciness. Meidum bodied with good carbonation. a nice unique flavor and aroma

Tasted on 2/8/14 from a 750mL bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting, big thanks to phaleslu for sharing!!! Pours cloudy pale orange with a thin white head that recedes to a thin collar of lace. The nose is tart lemon peel with tons of brett funk, light bread, and traditional spicy saison yeast. The flavor is more lacto sour with a lot of brett funk, and the same lightly bready spicy yeast. The body is medium, lightly tannic, with light carbonation and a long tart and hugely funky finish.

Sample @ RBWG Asheville After Party. Hazy gold pour with a small head. Golden honey and pear, some bretty countryside yeastiness. Orange peel and a bit of dirt. Bright tropical citrus, meaty fruits. Some salt. Light body, active carbonation. Great.
