4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared thanks to JBPortland ! Pours a hazy ruby mahogany color with a finger of khaki foam. Very unique beer and now that Im reading the description I think it was the dry hopping that had my palate confused but pleased at the same time. Not sure ive had a sour red with such rigoris dry hopping but the skittles candy and melon additions really worked nicely with the juicy cranberry, bruised raspberries, wet oak, leathery funk and vinous complexities that further lead you down the path of this interesting brew.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle pours deep opaque rich blood red brown with a finger of head. Nose is musty oak funk, tart grape, red wine, a little hint of weird band-aid right out of the cooler which eventually subsides into a more rounded damp basement funk as it warms. Taste is nice balanced mild acidity, fruit cherry, berry, grapes, wine, wet wood. Finish is crisp dry tart berry, cherry, semi sweet fruit funk, oak.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at The Wine & Cheese Festival 2014 - Pours cloudy amber with a tan head. The aroma has light sourness, some red wine barrel notes, traits of funk and seems maltier and more balanced than expected. It has a medium / full body with lots of flowing carbonation. The taste starts off with lots of oak and red wine off the bat. There is some heavy malts, dark berries and brett funk showing through. The finish has a nice sourness to it. I’m guessing by the time I had it the dry hopping had diminished a bit and more brett showing. Really solid beer.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Dark ruby pour with tan head. Brett, tart fruit, funk aromas. Nice dry fruit finish, funky tones, not overly mouth puckering.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep red/maroon color, sticky lace. So much burgundy barrel on the nose. Little funky, little yeasty, good amount of sourness, finishes barrely and delicious. I dig.
Side Project takes on a style I don't typically like, and surprise surprise, it's excellent. Goddammit Cory, either move to my city or stop being a baller.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amber pour, mostly a white head. This is yet another crazy good one from SP. Damn good. Perfect amount of sourness, funk, citrus, cherries, fruit cocktail, essense of hops without being bitter. Really some damn good stuff.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2014 750 ml bottle shared by Keir - thanks again, Keir! Pours a hazy reddish amber with a small to moderate off-white head and some larger bubbles around the edge. Aroma of leaves and earth, oak, red wine, mixed citrus, toast - dry and funky throughout. The flavor is funky, but not quite as dry - more vinous - with red wine, grapefruit, oak, dry leaves, berries, and apple. Light-medium bodied, with a dry, funky, fruity mouthfeel and low to moderate carbonation. Pretty interesting saison. Another winner. Re-Rate: This one has developed in the two months since I first tried it. More tartness, much cleaner and brighter. An unexpected twist in the middle of a Side Project tasting.
