COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A typical product from Asturias, it is obtained from the fermentation of apple mush in chestnut vats. This cider does not undergo filtration; thus, it preserves all the organoleptic qualities of apple.

Bottled at Black Door, Helsinki. Slightly hazy yellow golden color. Acidic and perfumed aroma with grapefruit. The flavor is also grapefruity wint fruity bittenerness, hint of barnyard and hint of acetic acid bite in finish. Light body, virtually no carbonation. Nice artisanal cider.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2014 750ml bottle (Black Door, Helsinki, Cider Festival 2011)
7 Beautiful sharp crisp fruity aroma, very appley, some pear too.
4 Slightly hazy yellow, no carbonation.
6 Sharp tangy taste, a little sour. Leathery, but a little lightweight.
3 Slightly watery palate, crisp dry acidity. Musky and musty.
10 Was a little muddy, and not as fruity as i like.

Like the haziness. Lovely aged aroma, woody hints. Sharp sour bite, sends a shiver down my spine. A little yeasty, but not muddy. Mustiness still there. Quirky and interesting. Anna doesn’t like it so much, it’s too vinegary in the finish for her. She’s on drugs.

Very tasty rustic still cider, far superior to the other stuff that comes in little green bottles from this cidrery. Plenty of wildness (brett?) in aroma, plus overripe apples and oak, bit of fusels, but you’re supposed to have them in cider aren’t you. long on palate thanks to nice tartness and woody flavour. a bit earthy/mushroomy which is interesting... not bad for $8/750ml (from the spanish bottleo in glebe pt rd).
