Glass froom bottle at Bramling Cross on 8/19/16.
Moderately hazy, pale, golden delicious-colored body shows plentiful carbonation and a smattering of white bubbles atop.
Great brett character in the nose, as there should be, with light funk, strong minerality and tons of apple skin. Sweetness is moderate, certainly not intensely juicy or anything and with strong drying on the finish. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it’s very, very dry, with lime and band aid mixing with red apple flavor, lots of skin tannin and moderate tartness on the finish that is balanced somewhat by the sugars. The flavors are well-presented and clean, with light, engaging carbonation, but it’s just a shade over-attenuated leading to some light astringency problems.

Opened at Seacoast Beer tasting. Purchased at Leary’s, the Amrsbury location. $12.04 ($11.99 + $0.50) for the 750 mL bottle. Aromas of horse blanket, sweat, cotton, Northen Spy apples, sourdough starter, DME, and chives. Tastes much the same with the addition of roasted beets, damp newspaper, and bird seed. Likeable. Damn, Spain really enjoys their ciders slightly tart and dry.

Pours slightly hazed yellow into a tumbler. Dusty apple and barnyard aromas. Soft with funky yeast and dry apple upfront turning to spicy leather in the medium length finish.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2014 In short: A bland semi-funky Sidra dominated by apples flavor. Meh.
How: Bottle at Atari Gastroteka, San Sebastian Spain.
The look: Almost clear blonde body with no head to speak of.
To me a typical Sidra is: Funky aroma of medium intensity with many light color fruits in the back (not just apples). Body is medium in size, a texture that is both juicy and doughy and with minimal carbonation. Taste is a lot less apple-forward than a regular cider with apples but also various light color tropical/citrus/exotic fruits. Yeast presence accompanied by a bready sensation. Typical Sidras have a mild sourness and ends with a mild-medium acidic bite. Thirst quenching and also a bit nourishing.
This one: As above with more focus on freshly squeezed red apples. Low carbonation even by Sidra standards. A little less funky and with less of a yeast presence. A bit sweeter too. Overall this was a poor example of the style. My first Sidra, I was as disappointed as Iggy Pop when he received a shirt as a birthday present.
