COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Nut Brown is brewed with English Ale yeast. In English tradition, we use only English Fuggle hops, which are low in bitterness and produce a mild floral hop taste. The complexity of this Nut Brown is created mainly by the Chocolate and Dark Chocolate malted barley.

There is a roasted coffee flavor with hints of chocolate and nutty or nutmeg finish on the back of the tongue. This Nut Brown has the widest spectrum of flavors of any Nut Brown on the market.

Poured from bottle into English pint glass. Pours a nice dark brown color, khaki head that goes from 1 finger to a couple mm thick but never completely dissipates. Aroma is very typical of an english-style nut brown - some chocolate notes, malt, typical fuggles hop nose present as well. Im also getting something slightly earthy, almost funky, but not in a bad way - more mushroom/earth than barnyard. Taste is also typical english brown - lots of malt, chocolate, touch of coffee, mild hop - very nutty. Carbonation level is medium, but its nicely prickly on the palate. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but given the style, not terribly out of whack.

Las Vegas, NV - Total Wine - Summerlin - 12 oz bottle. Dark brown pour, decently thick off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and chicory coffee. Flavor has some nice dark chocolate notes, some nuttiness, a bit of licorice in the back end. Nicely textured mouthfeel. Enjoyed this with a picnic lunch after hiking in Dead Horse State Park, Utah.

(12oz bottle thanks to Kenny-Boy) A dominate earthy nose in concert with nuts, wood, and fruit convey the aromas. A deep, dark brown pour with a quickly disapearing tan head and minimal lacing. The taste is overall slightly sweet. Toasted malts, nuts, caramel, fruit and grain comprise the flavor. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, while the taste is somewhat subdued, this was an enjoyable brown ale that I would drink again. Very sesssionable.

Bottle:   Deep brown, some ruby notes, thin frothy sandy head, little lacing.   Soft toasted malts, a touch of lactose sweetness and nuttiness.   Similar tongue, hints of chocolate come out towards the back.   Low hop profile.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Smooth finish, fairly clean.   Toasted malts and slight cocoa linger.   Decent little brown.

Dark brown with nutty caramel aroma. Taste is nutty, rather thin. Tastes eerily like a Newcastle. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Dark brown, with a short, beige head. Chocolate powder, nut aroma. Taste is nutty, creamy, chocolate and coffee. Very watery. Would be much better if not so diluted.
