This Nut Brown is brewed with English Ale yeast. In English tradition, we use only English Fuggle hops, which are low in bitterness and produce a mild floral hop taste. The complexity of this Nut Brown is created mainly by the Chocolate and Dark Chocolate malted barley.

There is a roasted coffee flavor with hints of chocolate and nutty or nutmeg finish on the back of the tongue. This Nut Brown has the widest spectrum of flavors of any Nut Brown on the market.

Drat at ABQ brewpub. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Not much on the nose. A bit syrupy and thick on the tongue. More sweet malt than anything else. Not getting any nutty notes anywhere. Eh!

Poured into a pint glass. Brown with a good finger of dirty white head. Lots of bubbles visible. Good smell of roasted malt and the "nutty". Tastes of roasted malt, a little chocolate in the background and mild bitterness at the end. Smooth texture, lots of bubbles, medium body. A good brown ale. A little more of a creamy body would make this better for me, but it was enjoyable nevertheless.

Draft at ABQ Brew Pub. Dark brown in the glass with a light tan head that settled to a ring and left light lacing. Aroma of nut and sweet malt. The flavor found nut, light chocolate, and a light roast. Light to medium body, smooth, and a light roast aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Rating #59. Nice looking beer, dark amber/red color with a light tan head. Kind if a metallic aroma and a light nuttiness. Light flavor, more nuttiness, decent. (1847)

On tap at the ABQ brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roast and coffee. Flavor of light roast, very sweet malt, some raisin. Light palate, a little bland, tough to drink a whole pint of. The description of this beer lured me in but unfortunately it fell short. 7/4/5/3/11 [3.0/5]

Bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown with almost no head, just a slight tan rim around the sides. Nutty caramel aroma. Taste is sweet, almost cloying, with a hazelnut essence over a malty base with very mild hops flavor. Very light and watery, easy to put down fast. Not bad.
