2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught. I got this at happy hour at the Yaya location on several ocasions. Its basically the porter with coffee added. The end result is an unbalanced coffee ale that is too bitter and coffee flavored for my liking. Needs work.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Available only on tap, I understand it may be a seasonal offering.
It’s dark-amber in colour. A thin but creamy cap of light tan foam tops it but dissipates shortly. Still, it maintains a wide collar and whispy surface covering, and leaves some splotchy and spotty lace behind.
Coffee leaps out at you in the aroma!!! It’s rich and bright.
In the mouth it’s smooth with a medium body; moderate, perhaps even restrained, carbonation; and slight oiliness from the coffee.
As in the nose, coffee flavor dominates, rich and wide, but also interacting with the malt and hop flavors.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub in Nairobi, Kenya. Pours a nice dark brown color with a full white head. Aroma is first malt then followed by smooth Kenyan coffee. The coffee is not overpowering in either the taste or the aroma but accents both of them. Taste is very smooth and mellow malts, and coffee. Palate moves you to more of a normal dark beer. Very nice from the brewpub in Africa.
