3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 patxa (63) - - FEB 1, 2013The best of the mexican SMBC brewery, great great palate, with good texture. Of course the standards of a porter are meet, chocolate notes along with soft coffee and a bit spicy at the end. Not a remarkable head and poor aroma, but nonetheless, a great try for a country full of mediocre lagers.

Draught at the brew pub on Av. Insurgentes. This was a pretty basic porter, a bit thin with some roasted and chocolate flavors. Dark brown with a lacing off-white/tan head. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nekronos (3231) - Xalapa, MEXICO - SEP 18, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 7, 2006 This is new in Mexico. I have tried similar beers here in another brewpub, but this has a different flavor, completely. Black and with white head, curious, but it sticks to the glass as it has to.
