2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

We named this beer in honor of Myron Avery, a founder of the Appalachian Trail, or the A.T., which starts near Sierra Nevada’s North Carolina brewery and ends near Allagash’s home in Maine. Both breweries have a tremendous love of the outdoors, and Avery and the A.T. are great reminders of the wild spirit of exploration that connects us both.

Myron’s Walk is a Belgian-style pale ale combining the best of our two breweries. It features intense citrusy flavor and a complex aroma from the use of fruity and resinous whole-cone Citra and Mosaic hops offset by the complex spicy character of Allagash’s house Belgian yeast strain.

Bottle from the 12 pack Beer Camp from Total Wine. Home in a snifter. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is Belgian Yeasts, cereal, oats, hay, citrus and slight coriander. The taste is similar with the Belgian yeasts, hoppy citrus and pine, slight bitterness on the finish. Cereal and hay flavors as well. Light body, moderate carbonation. Good beer.

Pours a nice light straw with a fair amount of suspended solids. Light lacy head. Lots of yeast, orange, corriander on nose. Orange and sweet taste - almost a more "natural" shandy. Long dry finish with medium carbonation.

Pours a nice gold color with a slight haze. Grassy citrus nose. Interesting waxy mouthfeel. Bitter flavor with a hint of cardboard and earthy, barnyard notes. Also a hint of coriander in the aftertaste. Overall, not too bad but not exactly a Belgian Pale Ale as i was expexcting.

Great flavor combo. Coriander comes through on the nose along w some piney hop notes. Up front the hops and fizz dominate while the coriander rounds out the malts and hops bitterness finishes.

12 oz. bottle from a Beer Camp pack purchased at Dutch’s. Pours a mostly clear gold with a thick white head that laces the glass and settles quickly into a smaller uneven head. Aroma of coriander, bread, citrus and tropical fruits, straw, grass, mellow spices, and esters. Flavor of coriander, bread, grass, citrus, mellow spice, fruity esters, florals, dry grains, and pineapple. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a floral, citrusy, estery mouthfeel. Good Belgian.

12oz Beer Camp bottle. Pours a clear golden/orange with a one finger, white head that thins to a film and sticks to the glass. Aroma is a mix of candy sugar, bubble gum, citrus, pine, and almost a pilsner malt. Taste is balanced. Hints of Belgian yeast, candy sugar, and bubble gum blended with pine, resin, citrus, and a hoppy/spiced aftertaste. Medium body with a medium-high carbonation. Pretty clean in the mouth with a bubbly carbonation and dry finish. Overall pretty tasty. Definitely get the spice over top of Belgian yeast, pine and resin.
