2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

We named this beer in honor of Myron Avery, a founder of the Appalachian Trail, or the A.T., which starts near Sierra Nevada’s North Carolina brewery and ends near Allagash’s home in Maine. Both breweries have a tremendous love of the outdoors, and Avery and the A.T. are great reminders of the wild spirit of exploration that connects us both.

Myron’s Walk is a Belgian-style pale ale combining the best of our two breweries. It features intense citrusy flavor and a complex aroma from the use of fruity and resinous whole-cone Citra and Mosaic hops offset by the complex spicy character of Allagash’s house Belgian yeast strain.

Poured into Trappist glass a hazy gold with lumpy white head that this fairly fast. Plenty of lace. Aroma is yeast followed by light hints of banana, floral and spice. Taste is yeast, banana with some spice but an earthiness stands out. Body is med and silky. Finish is bitter with a growing sense of it later. Very well done, has to be one of my favs from the 12.

12 oz bottle from old tasting notes. Pours a hazy golden orange color and topped by a small off white head of foam that quickly settles to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of orange peel, spices, bready malts, and a distinctive Belgian yeast to go with some floral hops on the back. The flavor follows with the sweet citrus fruit, orange peel, herbal spices, and sweet bready malts. The Belgian yeast adds its unique flavor along with some floral hop bitterness to balance things out. Medium bodied with tingly carbonation that least to a spicy, yeasty finish. Solid Belgian ale.

Pale gold hue, soft haze. A very thin, short-lived, soapy head dissipates within seconds. Not a lot of staying power. Lots of coriander in the nose. Lemon peel, crackers, dill. Milder flavor than aroma. A bit of peach, pepper. dry, bitter finish. Medium body, fluffy and creamy. Very nice. Mild CO2, gentle fizziness. Tasty enough. Nicely quenching, good flavor balance, bitterness and dry finish.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at laiti’s, 20150613, thanks) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness and Belgian style yeast. Plate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste were fruitiy and bitter. A very fruity but too thin brew.

Crisp, super hazy orange-tinted bronze coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall microfoamed tan head - very nice looking. Aroma of deep belgian yeast, bread, coriander seed, curacao, light spice, a touch of fragrant hops and quite a bit of wheat. Medium-bodied; Spicey flavour at first with a good deal of grass and herbs around the edges and a mellow sweetness towards the end. Aftertaste shows coriander seed and hints of yeast/bread, but a more complex and herbal finish. Overall, a very nice belgian styled blonde beer with a good yeast kick and some complex herbal flavours throughout. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle in the twelve pack sampler purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 30-July-2014 for US$22,00 sampled at home in Washington a few steps away on 04-July-2015 to celebrate Independence Day.

Fruity hop aroma. Refreshing fresh hoppy taste, floral, a bit of wheat, light and uplifting. Very decent pale ale. Drinkability good certainly.

12 oz bottle served in a tulip glass. Pours hazy golden orange with medium creamy off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet caramel malt with a faint earthy spicy undertone. Taste is clean earthy malt with a light spice note throughout. Coriander is dominant, but light Belgian yeast notes also stand out. Lovely pale ale.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured hazy vibrant peach color with a small foamy off white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tangy and dusty with orange, lemon and Sweettart candies. The flavor was bitter and chalky with orange, lemon and Sweettart candy. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok
