2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

Inspired by the perennial café favorite, Double Latte combines two of the greatest things in life: good coffee and great beer. Oregon’s Ninkasi Brewing knows their way around a good cup of joe. Featuring cold-press coffee from the legendary Stumptown Coffee Roasters and a dose of milk sugar, this coffee milk stout is a rich and roasty treat.

This young-gun brewery has a locomotive charge. A rich conversation at a local bottle shop in 2005 has morphed into a Pacific Northwest staple. Named after the Sumerian goddess of fermentation, Ninkasi’s first batch of beer was Total Domination IPA and it remains a must for those with a lupulin itch.

Creamy smooth, medium bodied, slight bitterness, and medium carbonation.  A very enjoyable milk stout. This needs to go into full time production.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a very dark brown with a large lasting frothy light-brown head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of lots of coffee followed by roasted malt, some light hops, chocolate and lactic notes. Flavour’s the same, lots of coffee along with chocolate, light hops, lactic notes and a big coffee finish. Medium bodied. I love coffee and I still found there to be a tad too much coffee, regardless it is still quite good.

Smells of dark roasted coffee. Has a taste of light chocolate and also of dark roasted coffee. I love the malted milk taste in this. Just the right balance of all these flavors. Could be a breakfast stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Filled a growler in Twin Falls and anxiously awaited my arrival home to sample this interesting presentation from Sierra Nevada/Ninkasi. The pour is a rich black-brown, the head a fluffy shade of café au lait with a lightweight, magnificent lacing; sticky and wet. The aroma is roasted coffee beans, and inviting rather than overwhelming with a milky booze in the background. Not usually a fan of coffee flavored brews, this surprises me with a well balanced aroma and and exceptional drink-ability. Moderately creamy with an average carbonation, this brew is an offering I will go back to if given an opportunity. This is a very nice representation of the style.

Coffee coffee coffee, a little sweet from the stout balances this to an easy drinking full flavor. Really on point and impressive

Black color. The coffee, although not aggressive, dominates the aroma and flavor; the aroma is also lightly yeasty, the flavor lightly milky, lightly sweet. Some resiny hops in the final.
Good strong Sweet Stout.

Pours dark brown/black with a medium tan head. Aroma has nice roasty coffee and hints of hazelnut, sweet dark chocolate, and burnt roastiness. Flavor has nice bitter dark chocolate, great fresh coffee roast and a toasted hazelnut note. Mouthfeel is medium/full and silky with a dry roasted coffee/ bitter espresso finish. Damn tasty.
