COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

Inspired by the perennial cafť favorite, Double Latte combines two of the greatest things in life: good coffee and great beer. Oregonís Ninkasi Brewing knows their way around a good cup of joe. Featuring cold-press coffee from the legendary Stumptown Coffee Roasters and a dose of milk sugar, this coffee milk stout is a rich and roasty treat.

This young-gun brewery has a locomotive charge. A rich conversation at a local bottle shop in 2005 has morphed into a Pacific Northwest staple. Named after the Sumerian goddess of fermentation, Ninkasiís first batch of beer was Total Domination IPA and it remains a must for those with a lupulin itch.

Sweet, sticky lactose forward milk stout. Roasty nose and medium body. Dark bitter coffee flavors battle with dark malts, but a bit astringent on the back.

Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours basically black with a smallish head and good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is sweet and roasty, totally centered around coffee, and wonderfully so.

The flavor balances roasty bitterness with sweetness just so, the coffee is wonderfully heavy handed and well complimented by roasty malt. The beer is indeed sweet but probably has a low-end of sweetness per the style (as far as my experience)

Totally enjoyable on all accounts, sheesh

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2014 Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma and Taste is sweet cacao and dark roasted malt, a bit of sweet milk chocolate flavor. Palate is a medium body, good carbonation, a bit of a sticky mouth feel. Finish is sweet bitter dark roasted cacao, moderate milk choco with moderate roasted mocha espresso bitter notes, mildly dry ending with a good bit of alcohol kick. A good tasty full flavored latte.

(Bottle) This is WAY better than I was expecting. Really nice roast coffee notes but perfectly balanced with rich malty sweetness. Best milk stout Iíve ever had. But, itís pretty intense; good for drinking while during the heart of winter.

Wow! wonderful aroma of fresh brewed coffee and cream. Like in a diner. Pours black in the glass. Really clean flavor of coffee, roasted malt, and a hint of creaminess on the tongue. Overall, what a really nice beer.

Incredible. This is probably the best sweet stout Iíve had. The aroma of coffee is over the top and the taste is coffee, faint chocolate, and lots of roasty malt notes. The finish is clean and sweet. There really isnít anything wrong with this one. Awesome!

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. The first thing that hit me in the aroma was licorice, followed by lactose, then into a slightly sweet chocolatiness, with a gentle yet still very present floral hopiness. Itís beautifully dark and bubbly. Nice espresso colored head that subsided rather quickly, with minimal lacing. The flavor is laced with strong notes of dark coffee, a little bit of licorice, with the sweet chocolate not far behind. Then it finishes with a lingering bitterness, which is almost black coffee like . It sits on the pallate well with a nice creamy mouthfeel, slight oiliness, and a good carbonation level. Itís sad that this is a one time production, I hope I have another chance to enjoy this delicious beer.

I bought the twelve pack just for this. I tell you Itís like a dessert caravan going to someplace To quench your thirst. So right off the bat I wish theyíd Made this available as a six pack. Pitch black with Mocha bubbles. Scent of a wet dog Rolliní in a giant tootsie roll yard. Thatís the best part Palate is licorice light coffee. What a discovery!
