COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

Inspired by the perennial cafť favorite, Double Latte combines two of the greatest things in life: good coffee and great beer. Oregonís Ninkasi Brewing knows their way around a good cup of joe. Featuring cold-press coffee from the legendary Stumptown Coffee Roasters and a dose of milk sugar, this coffee milk stout is a rich and roasty treat.

This young-gun brewery has a locomotive charge. A rich conversation at a local bottle shop in 2005 has morphed into a Pacific Northwest staple. Named after the Sumerian goddess of fermentation, Ninkasiís first batch of beer was Total Domination IPA and it remains a must for those with a lupulin itch.

> Top notch highly aromatic coffee stout

[ Bottle ][ 12oz ][ Costco Vista ][ $1.50- ][ Reidel Vinum XL Pinot Noir ][ 7.17.14 ]
>> Pours a clear deep brown, thicker tan foam with excellent lacing. Nose is excellent coffee, vanilla latte, hazelnut, huge tobacco. One of the better coffee beer aromas Iíve experienced. Taste is medium bodied, fariyl dry, lots of cocoa nibs, chalky cocoa powder, some semisweet chocolate bar. Palate is rich and silky, mild spiciness. This was easily the second best beer from the 24 pack Beer Across America case. Everything else was ok and meh. Torpedo Pils was a Top 5 world pilsner. This is a spot on coffee stout. Highly enjoyable. Hell yes for Oregonís cold pressed coffee!

>!< a tad chalky, but in a cocoa nib crunchy way

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had over facebook chat. This pours very dark and has a smallish tan head. Not a big aroma but it offers lactic and roasted notes. A little cocoa, too. The flavor begins with coffee. It has a very authentic aspect to it. Some interesting lactic notes. Later the chocolate emerges more. Just a little fruit from hops. Later the coffee returns to prominence. The brewers did a nice job with this one. Well done!

Tasted from bottle. Pours black with a thick tan head with excellent lacing. Incredible aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, milk and caramel. Taste is also excellent. Perfectly balanced. Coffee espresso, chocolate, toffee, caramel, biscuits and roasted nut flavors. Probably the best sweet stout I've had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12fl oz bottle bottled 5/30/14. Pours black with a half finger, creamy tan head that sticks to the glass. Aroma has great notes of dark chocolate milk, coffee, a hint of nuttiness, caramel, and bread. Really great. Taste is fricking awesome. Creamy dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, bread, and an espresso bitter finish. Perfectly balanced. Full body with a medium carbonation. Creamy in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall probably the best coffee beer I?ve had. Perfectly balanced with a great, creamy mouth feel.

12 oz bottle with a packaged date of 30 May 2014. This dark brown ale looks essentially black and opaque in th glass and is topped by a durable and very creamy tan head. Aroma: fine mix of coffee and dark roasted grains in nearly equal measure. Taste: Excellent bitter-sweet balance: mildly bitter in keeping with the coffee and dark roasted grains, but clearly too bitter to be considered a sweet stout. Lingering aftertaste of black coffee and black bread. Feel: medium body is creamy smooth despite near medium carbonation. Carbonation is higher than average for style but nicely soft. O: excellent and certainly one of the best, if not the best, of the dozen 2014 special SN Beer Camp releases.

Bottle. Pours out almost pitch black with a moderate tan head. Aroma is of deep roasty/earthy coffee, lots of chocolate, light sugary sweetness and some mild lingering bitterness. Smells like a really good coffee was used. Taste is complex, mouthfeel is silky and smooth. Complex roasty/earthy coffee notes go with a touch of creamy sweetness, burnt malt, mocha, some light notes of hop bitterness and a smooth finish. This is a really good beer, perhaps the best of the beer camp this year.
