COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

Our friends at Oskar Blues pioneered great beer in a can and, as mutual members of the canned craft club, this partnership was a perfect fit. CANfusion is a coming together—a fusion, if you will—of flavors from across the spectrum of brewing: spicy rye, tangy wheat and a bright citrusy hop aroma.

Oskar Blues is the granddaddy of canned craft beer. Like us, they have a fun-loving passion for the outdoors and bikes. It was a natural fit for them to adopt cans as a portable, durable way to tote their favorite beer on the trail, and in the process they paved the way for all other craft brewers to follow.

Part of the 12 pack Beer Camp series. Total Wine in Boca Raton. Drank at home in a snifter. Pours a cloudy orange-light brown with a mild fluffy head. Aroma is hoppy with pine and spruce, a light wheat/grain aroma, and citrus. The taste is similar with a citrus profile, slight bitter pineyness, and a malty backbone with a hint of rye. Slight bitter finish. Moderate carb and a medium to light body.

Pours clear dark golden with a big off-white head, lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel, spicy rye and hay. Flavor is sweet caramel, rye, bread, dusty, dry finish but sticky sweet
Ok, but I wouldn’t have another.

Poured a bright crystal clear amber with a tall foamy light beige head . There was a light amount of carbonation bubbles rising up in the glass. There was a very nice aroma of pine hops, apricot, some sweet malt and a spicy rye. The beer had a slightly thicker texture and a good amount o sweetness along with a bit of refreshing effervesence. A light hop flavor of citrus comes through with a nice light spice on the finish along witha citrus bitterness. The head left some light lacing througout the glass. This was a nice easy drinking beer with several levels of subtle flavors.

Pours amber and clear with a sudsy white head. Aroma of citrus, rye, bread, grain, and some sweet malts. Taste is grain, grapefruit, caramel, and baked bread. Medium body, medium bitterness, and the alcohol was well hidden.

Pale red/orange body with a huge tan head and vigorous carbonation, this reminds me of irn-bru. Aroma is honey, herbal, spice, and bready yeasts. Huge honey flavors along with spicy grains. Lively carbonation and thick body strikes a good balance. Not really getting the promised citrus hops and 45 ibu, but this is good all the same as a malty rye beer.

[Can (12oz)] Pours a deep orange-amber with a large lasting frothy off-white head. Minimal lacing. Nice hoppy aroma with citrus hops, earthy hops, rye, bready malt and some fruit. Flavour is fruity first followed by caramel malt, some hops, rye and a medium bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good beer.

Last of this year’s beer camp. Nuts, my beer camp is gone after this, aw crap, it better come earlier next year. Anyways, out of the June 19th 2014 box, stamped on the bottom reads: "05/03/14." This was poured into a pilsener because I thought it was a bock. Sorry, I guess I slightly goofed - here’s the rest (glad I don’t do this for a living). The appearance was a thin transparent amber color allowing a decent carbonation to be seen rising. A nice looking two finger white to off white foamy head dissipated within about a minute leaving a nice looking foamy lacing all over. The smell had a nice blend of sweet caramel malts to sweet citrusy hops, slightly sticky and somewhat refreshing all over. The taste was mainly the same sweet stickiness running all over my taste buds. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued and glazed my tongue in a nice fashionable sticky caramel maltiness of sorts. Overall, decent Rye beer, as stated on this website and by me, not a bock. Good, and willing to have again for me, it’s just not a bock.

Can (12 oz). From kbudd19, thanks! Hazy amber with a medium off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is moderately spicy (rye) with caramel, citrus, floral notes, toasted bread and hints of fruits. Aroma is slightly sweet and moderately spicy with caramel, toasted bread floral notes and light fruits. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Lingering spiciness. Hints of alcohol. I’m not a huge fan of rye beer, but this isn’t too bad. Tasty. Lack of balance a bit.

12 oz. can from a Beer Camp pack purchased from Dutch’s. Pours a clear amber with a two finger off-white head, rocky, that laces that glass and settles unevenly and kind of thick. Aroma of rye, wheat, caramel, nuts, citrus, tea, grass, and straw. Flavor of tea, rye, grass, dried leaves, caramel, toast, wheat, and a bit of fruit. Light-medium bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a malty mouthfeel that finishes dry. Drinks more like an ale than a bock.
