2014 Beer Camp Across America Release.

As longtime friends, Russian River brewmaster Vinnie Cilurzo and our own Brian Grossman are no strangers to brewing experiments. While looking for inspiration for this collaboration, Vinnie and Brian decided to honor the creations of legendary Belgian brewer Yvan De Baets with their own hop-forward American-Belgian mash-up.

From complex Belgian-inspired styles to American wild ales and hoppy Double IPA’s, Russian River always pushes boundaries while respecting technique and quality. Co-owners Vinnie and Natalie Cilurzo are longtime friends of Sierra Nevada and they always have a six-pack of Pale Ale in their fridge at home.

Box packaged 6/19/14. Bottled on 6/02/14. This was poured into a chalice. The appearance was a soft golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Light sticky lacing streamed down the glass. The smell had a really nice sweet orange peel with a sharp bittersweet lemon invading and adding a delicate spice. The taste was sweet and spicy to bring along the citrusy aspects into the aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there but nothing overbearing. A nice sharp crisp feel rolls over my tongue. Overall, I say once again, another winner of a beer camp beer.

12 oz bottle from Biggie Liquors. Blonde and clear appearance with a fully diminishing head. Aroma and flavor of Belgian notes, yeast, clove, spicy hops, light banana, herbs and fruity esters. Mildly sweet and lightly bitter with an average body and a smooth finish.

Meh...a pretty weak Belgian style ale. Aroma was very light. With the nose completely in the glass you could pick up light melon and bubblegum. Pour was a light hazy gold with a one finger white head that left quickly. Taste was better than the aroma. The sweet malt, bubblegum and yeast are a little heavier but not cloying. Light and a tad watery. Mild carbonation. Average beer

Not much to add, a complex fruity malty yeasty mix. Definitely a mix of Belgian yeast and west coast hops. Not crisp or clear but rather blended.

Brilliant. Bright golden color. The aroma is simply heavenly, hinting at what is delivered in the flavor ... an almost perfectly woven concoction of sweet, tropical fruits, and a hint of herbal, fresh, garden-borne Belgian twists. I wish I could buy this in a 6-pack. (#5725, 9/7/2014)

Glass at the mile, pours glowing and hazy golden-orange with small white head. Notes are Belgian yeast, dark fruit, grapefruit, orange peel, and pepper. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottle. Banana, clove, coriander in the aroma with notes of Belgian candy sugar. Pours pale golden colored with a thin white head and no lacing. Starts with sweet candy and banana flavors. Finishes like a Belgian with banana, clove and coriander notes. Good Belgian style.

cloudy gold color; spicy, hoppy aroma; a mice, light Belgian style ale with spicy, sour fruit notes; pretty bitter and hoppy with citrusy hop notes

Beer Camp Bottle--pours a clear, pale yellow color with a just a film of a head. Aroma of some honey, banana and almost candy like. Taste of light hops, honey and some orange on the end. Decent amount of carbonation with a clean finish. Not as hoppy as I thought it would be. Total wine.
