3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased almost two years ago at the Escondido BevMo ($14.99). Pours a slightly hazy golden apricot hue with two fingers of very fizzy off-white foam. AROMA of old musty grains, fresh-cut hay, dry spice, grape, pear, with a little bit of leathery barnyard. FLAVOR is initially semi-tart with notes of green apple, green (unripe) pear, and mild funky brett with additional notes of wet musty grains (wheat), white wine, peach, mild citrus and a hint of maraschino cherry. Despite the initial tartness, finishes somewhat sweet. Has a nice prickly carbonation for a "sour" ale. The alcohol is well concealed. The brett character is not at the forefront here, so I do think it is correctly categorized as a Belgian Strong (and not a sour). Not sure how this would have been fresh, but the two years of age seems to have done it well. Would like to see these two excellent brewers collaborate more. (532, 871)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden orange with thick fizzy head. Heavily carbonated, very dry. Cherries, peaches, brett on the nose. Spices, brett, lots of citrus flavors. A surprisingly mellow sour ale. A good beer, but I’m not sure it’s $16 good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to nate321, lots of beer karma for you on this one! Pours a really hazy golden, looking quite simply like a nice peach juice maybe. The head is fizzy and disappears fast, carbonation is really strong in this one. Nose is really fruity with some pretty evident cherries and other fruits (apricots, peaches?). Taste is dry as advertised, fruity. Again some cherries but also some dusty brett, finish is a little spicy. Body is light, carbonation pretty intense. It isn’t too distracting, though, so all is well. Pretty nice, you can definitely feel the brett brux at work in this one!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, with about a year of cellar time. Bright golden peach color with a fizzy beige head. Nose is lively with brett, grains, and grass. Light and crisp flavors; lemon, grass, wheat, and brett. Heavily carbonated. Capped and refrigerated half the bottle for two days and it still had plenty of bubbles. A good brew, on the verge of very good, but it can’t compete at this price point ($16).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at GTMW ticket line, pours a clear golden with a bubbly white head, the aroma has a decent amount of tart fruit with the dryness of the brett showing as well, the flavor has a fruity lemon like front end with some brett dryness in the finish, light mouthfeel, interesting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a large fizzy thin white head that receded to a thin wispy film. The nose is just full-on brett funkiness with some pale malt. Very fruity and funky. The flavor is brett dominated as well with some light tartness and fruity notes. Finishes with a nice brisk lemon-like note with some spiciness that almost comes across as clove like. Light bodied and bone dry with lots of fizzy prickly carbonation and a short but very bright finish. Very nice beer, really lets the brett shine.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
This a cloudy orange brew w/ a small and short lived head of medium bubbles. It’s mildly fruity in the nose, which is nice enough, but the defining characteristic of this beer is it’s super overcarbonated. From what I can tell, aside from that, this is a nice, dry, bretty beer but ultimately it just tastes like fizz and that is too bad.
