COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Turn up the bass, plug in, and settle down for a long jam session with this hop-forward beer. Brewed for the 25th annual Asheville Christmas Jam, this hop-driven session ale is the perfect beer for this one-of-a-kind musical marvel. This easygoing beer works its way up the scale of hop flavors with cool notes of citrus and pine alongside bright fruity aromas. This medley balances against a light, toasty malt backbone for a mellow balance and jam-worthy drinkability. In previous years, our friends at Asheville Brewing Company had the pleasure of making this musical brew, but Sierra Nevada was lucky enough to get the call this year, and what an honor it is. Cheers!

Bottle shared at the RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours a bright orange color with a small white head that leaves spots of lace in the glass. Notes of grass, florals, spice, straw, and amber and caramel malts. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, spicy, earthy mouthfeel. I’m not sure I had it pegged as an APA, but whatever it is, it worked for me. These SN rarities have been a nice surprise of RBWG.

Bottle sample during RBWG grand tasting. Pours a clear orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, caramel, orange citrus, light resin and a splash of herbal hops. It really does have a decent hop bite for a low abv beer.

Bottle shared at RBWG! Pours a clear amber with bubbly head. Aroma is much hoppier than expected, nice balance too. Taste follows, had no idea it was a session beer. Definitely very nice, and apparently really cheap.

Taster at RBWG 2014 grand tasting - thanks to the person who shared this! Mostly clear amber orange red color. Thin khaki head. Dots and short ropes of lace. Surprisingly hoppy, orange citrusy aroma. Moderate bitter, light sweet taste. Medium body.. Light, soft, lighter carbonation. Solid IPA. Like a session celebration. Solid stuff!

Nothing out of this world, but good share from Chudwick’s cousin in law. I mean rarity isn’t always a good thing, right?

24 oz bottle This was gift from a friend. The ale poured a clear amber with white frothy head with soapy lacing down the glass. The aroma was of resiny pine and citrus. The complex taste of citrus, pine bitterness and some lemon greet you. The medium body ale had soft carbonation. I realize the lower alcohol is intentional but 2% higher would improve this ale. This a very drinkable ale with a smooth easy finish.
