A - Served a brown-copper color with a tannish half-finger of frothy head. Fades slowly leaving lots of lace behind.
S - Aroma is a mix of Quad elements with some rich dark fruits including some fig and prune. There is also some Dubbel noticeable as well with some sweet malts and some cherry and yeast.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet cherry flavors with some light yeast and some rich caramel malts. Through the middle, some stronger dark fruit flavors with some more fruit sweetness comes through. The finish is a mix of sweet dark fruit flavors with some yeast and a bit of cherry sweetness.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a sweet and warming mounthfeel.
D - Surprisingly drinkable. Very nice blend that really had the richness of a Quad with the smooth drinkability of a Dubbel.

This is a dubbel quad blend that was then aged in oak barrels.
Poured into a sierra snifter at KnB wine cellars
produces a nice tan head about 2 fingers worth.
the aroma is a small amount of belgian earth along with a slight bit of alcohol showing through. Sweet malts also carry threw the aroma.
the mouthfeel is great. heavy enough to cover the mouth and with just enough carb to cut through the barrel presence and mellow out the sweetness from the brew.
the taste is dark heavy malt with just a tad of dark fruits and a medium strength bourbon flavor coming through.
could easily go through a glass or two of this beer.

Pours a dark mahogany brown collar with a short tan head and no real lacing on the way down. The nose brings forward a good dosing of Belgian yeast with some dark fruits and a bit of oak. Mild sweetness. The flavor has some oak, dark fruits, and a bit of spice. Mild tannins and good oak character. Medium body with a good oak character. Light barrel notes in the finish. Really nice beer; glad to try it.
