Commercial Description:
The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

Golden, darker than SNPA with a dense white pillow of a head, smells hint of citrus hops, . Delicious, well balanced and something I could drink several of. This is a beer that is hoppy but subtle. More flavorful than SNPA but not as good as Celebration. Sierra Nevada was probably one of the first micro-brews I drank, about ten years ago, so congrats to them on twenty-seven years. Honorable mention goes out to the label as I think it is their best so far. Hopefully they will send some bottles of Harvest Ale this way. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-05-2007 16:06:40

Enjoyed via tap in a pub glass. The beer pours a light amber to almost straw-colored, with a nice white head that lasts throughout its consumption. The nose is all hops, showing a tremendous amount of Cascade, and perhaps just a bit of Centennial or Amarillo. The palate is very firmly bitter, almost in the category of something like Stone Ruination. Malt sweetness does come through, but probably not to the extent that it should, Hop bitterness and flavor dominate the palate, perhaps to just slightly too great an extent. Overall, a very well done and rather "sessionable" IPA at 5.9%abv.

2009. Nice aroma. Some fragrance in there that I can not put my finger on. Perfumeish. Some sweetness. Bit of citrus. Nice.

2009, 12 oz bottle. Poured amber-orange with good size off white head. Nose was hops, citrus, and pine. Sweet taste with a good balance between everything, I must say this is a best buy when on sale, a good everyday beer for a hophead.

Bottle. Poured pale orange amber with white/off white head. Citrusy/grapefuit, hoppy aroma. Hoppy, piney flavour with fine malt balance. Bitter, hoppy finish.

Pretty clear apricot pour, white frothy head. Aroma mostly of grapefruit bitterness, some lemon zest and a light earthy/woodiness as well. . Flavor did not live up to the aroma for an IPA standing in my opinion. A little flat, with just an offbeat citrus hoppyness, and a sweeter finish then expected. Certainly not terrible just not as bold as I picture most IPA.

Clear coper pour with a frothy offwhite head. aroma is grapefruit and pine with a bit of vanilla maltiness. Flavor is a bit toned down from the flavor, a bit watery. Hopping is citric but the malt overpowers it until the finish which is dry and bitter. session-able but overall a little disappointing.
