Commercial Description:
The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

This is an outstanding ale. their pale ale is a benchmark for APAs. This ale has wonderful citrus aroma at the pouring. A frothy white head with a rich amber color. This ale has great character with excellent hops. The finish is smooth and with no bitterness.

Aroma is herbal hoppiness, a touch of apricot. Has a strong hop bite, but is a little thin tasting. Very similar to their popular pale ale, but with slightly more hops.

12 oz bottle, 2009 edition, $13.99 a 12 pack at the local grocery store. Pours a slightly hazy amber gold color with a creamy 1/2" head and random loops of lace. Citrus hop aroma with a malt background. Moderate palate. Flavor is same as aroma, hops and malt. Not the most complex beer, but very enjoyable and reasonably priced.

Bottle, no pour. Aroma from bottleneck is of hops, malt, and, faintly, of chocolate, but more like cocoa powder, which is surpising in a beer of this low gravity. Initial flavor matches aroma, malt, hops, and a cocoa-like almost cinnamon flavor. Turf and butter flavors fill out what is a relatively light palate. Not a bad offering, considering the source, however.

Bottle. Pours amber with light head. Aroma is harsh hops, taste is a bit too bitter. Ok, but not great.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Big strong bitter hops taste with and actual hint on pine. This is a solid IPA. 12 oz bottle
