Commercial Description:
The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

355 ml bottle. Pours a pale clear amber with a nice off-white head. Piney resin filled nose with a sweet malt background. Medium body. Nice malt profile offset by a proper wallop of hop bitterness. Lingering notes of toffee and caramel with a semi-dry finish.

Bottle 350ml. Hazy light amber with a mostly lasting, huge, frothy, white head. Lightly malty. Moderate to heavy hops and moderately yeasty. Notes of hay, grass, dough, soap and chalk. Heavily bitter with an average to long finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation and a chalky mouthfeel.

Hazy amber color with a white thin head. Fresh and powerful citrus hoppy aroma. Refreshing and perfectly bitter, crisp flavor with a mixture of citrusfruit. Smooth, pleasant mouthfeel.

Pours a solid orange color with a nice whitish head that lingers. Very citric aroma with pine and a flowery scent that was detectable as well. Very hoppy taste with orange and pine making its presence very known. Another very good beer by Sierra Nevada.

Bottle. Amber pour, small white head. Nice citrus hops on the nose. The flavor is full of a nice hop burst and some decent malts as well. Very well done as are all the SN beers.

Pours a hazy amber with a nice two fingers of white head that dissipates rather quickly but leaves some nice lacing. The smell is mostly of floral hops with a small hint of citrus and malt. The taste is wonderfully hoppy with the dominant hops being floral and pine. There are hints of citrus as well with an extremely faint hint of malt. The first few sips seemed overly bitter, but as the brew warmed I was able to pick out all of the flavors. The carbonation is balanced very well and compliments the bite of the hop bitterness. The finish is bone dry. A very well crafted IPA. There are many dimensions to this beer than you might initially think as you get into the glass a bit. SN usually makes a solid straight-forward brew, but there is definitely a bit more to this one. Reviewed on: 10-29-2008

Small white head, colour is reddish. Aroma is hoppy with citrus, pine and grapefruit. Flavour is the same as the aroma, and I like it!
