A solid and sturdy IPA which rightfully connotes a darker IPA than I typically enjoy. This doesnt stop its cleanliness, however, which is of a pine character if they made albino pines and has a citrus quality if they made purple oranges. Very much a DIPA Light. theJW (2), , Washington, USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Out of the bottle and into a clean pint glass. Beautiful light copper color with a lingering thick off white head. Real hoppy on the nose with obvious citrus but the taste is mostly bitter with an earthy undertone. Bitterness stays on the tongue longer than I would like. Enjoyable beer nonetheless. tarheels86 (732), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2008 Pours a hazy copper with a very nice, thick, off-white head. Aromas of hop resin, caramel, toffee, grapefruit. Creamy almost buttery mouthfeel. Medium to thick-bodied. Excellent IPA! Smoother, creamier, and less
intense compared to the Celebration Ale but in my opinion with less character. welho (30), Finland

Served in original US-Pintglas.
Thick head, long lasting
The body is rather thin. The aroma finish is bitter.
It is a good thirstquencher but nothing spectacular

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2008 Slightly hazy amber gold, moderate white head generating some early lace. Fresh tropical fruit and resinous hop aroma. Woody and perfumey elements come forward toward the end of what is an otherwise standard (but still tasty) cascade-driven IPA. Very good. milljam (569), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 27, 2008 355 ml bottle. Pours a pale clear amber with a nice off-white head. Piney resin filled nose with a sweet malt background. Medium body. Nice malt profile offset by a proper wallop of hop bitterness. Lingering notes of toffee and caramel with a semi-dry finish.
