AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2008 Big hop aroma is true. Doesn’t hold a head, which is irrelevant to me. Actually not as bitter as most IPA’s, but plenty of aroma and flavor, offset by pleasant malty sweetness. Nice beer. GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Oct 7, 2008 A clear copper color with a fine white head and some nice lacing. Good leafy aroma, and the flavor is a nice blend of big malt and lots of grassy hop. A well-done IPA beergod (97), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 6, 2008 Updated: Oct 10, 2008Perfect pour @ the Houston Saucer! Color is a deep coper amber with a very nice creamy head. Nose is of very floral hops, citrus ,grassy& grapefruit. Taste is fruity citrus, tangerines as well as grapefruit, with a great dry finish. body is full for an IPA and drinks nice. Perfect with the Manchego & mustard, salame spread they offered. Hank1980 (734), Athens, Georgia, USA Oct 6, 2008 2008 bottle. Pours copper, amber with white head. Nice dry hop aroma. Taste is hoppy, with a big caramel malt backing. Finish is lightly bitter, and mouth is pretty thick. Hops are citrus and a little grassy. Very well balanced, moderate IBU IPA. aschafer324 (7), , Wisconsin, USA does not count Oct 6, 2008 Aroma gives off citrusy and slightly toasty notes with a healthy dose of floral hops. It’s a medium bodied copper-orange beer that pours an average but persistent head that laces well. A balanced mix of floral and bittering hops give it a strong dry punch up front and then slowly dissipate to reveal a very rich malty taste that is also a little on the roasty side and takes its time to finish. This is one of the most well balanced IPAs I have ever had. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 6, 2008 Says 2008 on the bottle. Thin head. Crisp dark amber. Delicious hop aroma with a caramel malt backing. Woody hop flavour. Nice malt balance. A bit bitter and mouth drying but tasty. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light amber with a quickly receding one finger beige head. The persistent layer that’s left does leave decent lacing. Nose is light malt and floral hops. Taste is sweet citrus, apricot and toffee with a pink grapefruit finish. Medium, sticky mouth feel. This is a well-balanced IPA. Very good. blipp (1630), Newark, New Jersey, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle (2008). Pours orange with an off white head. Sweet aroma, fruity citrus and bitter hops. The flavor is well balanced. Sweet citrus, floral, light spicy and light pine. Very nice.
