Appearance: Orange to amber color with a foamy white head. Okay head retention and spotty lacing.
Aroma: Subdued hop aroma with citrus and grass notes. I was hoping for a little more here.
Flavor: Grassy and herbal hops with a light malt body. Clean and inviting but not really challenging, especially in a style where you expect a nice blast of hops.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium, hoppy finish.
Overall: A little underwhelming. I think I would take the Torpedo over this one.

Oct 12, 2009 Pours a deep copper with a nice head. Very hoppy nose. Strong good hop flavor. Cut right through the food i was eating it with. Nice good bitters. Finishes happy hoppy bitter wonderful

Oct 12, 2009 Really nice surprise from a brewer that is always a good choice. S.N. should use this recipe for their Torpedo IPA which was a little lacking. Nice citrus and pine flavors indicitive of most Cali IPA’s which is fast becoming the preferred style choice of most IPA fans.

Oct 11, 2009 Good but not great. This bottle seemed a little flat. The typical hop characteristic of Sierra Nevada seemed a bit muted in the bottle I had. Worth drinking but if this was a typical bottle then I’d rather have the usual pale ale.

Oct 10, 2009 Amber orange pour, frothy bubbly head..Nice citrus aroma with light hop back round..Taste starts out piney, citrus, then a nice bitter hop bite on the swallow..Nice and smooth for an ipa as the bite dosen’t last long..Great beer....

Oct 9, 2009 Pours a rather carbonated medium bodied amber with a foamy white head. Fragrant aromas of citrus, pine, caramel, grapefruit, and some uplifting sweetness. Aromas carry well to the flavor with the pine coming through the strongest followed by the citrus with a slight malty caramel backbone. Slightly sweet and nicely bitter. Even with the somewhat strong flavors its still refreshing and easy to gulp. Glad I picked a 6 pk of these up. It was well worth the cheap price.
