scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours light amber/copper color with a large, clingy, tan head. Aroma and Taste are of hops, pine and citrus. Finish is dry and bitter. Overall, this is a pretty great beer, that is easy to drink and enjoy. I look forward to buying this again. BEERGUY007 (206), Scotia, New York, USA Aug 26, 2008 2008. yeasty, a little malt, nice hops, that was my favorite part. Nice mouthfeel. I will def get this one again. 41cubs (131), , New Jersey, USA Aug 25, 2008 12 oz. 2008. really nice beer. Good hops representation in the aroma and taste. Good smooth beer that jumps out at your tastebuds without assaulting them. Hops, dry flowers, sour citrus, and raw greens make this a very simple straight forward and enjoyable beer. Average mouthfeel. Nice job and good choice for summer. Cobra (1060), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA Aug 24, 2008 2008 Version. 12 oz. brown stubby bottle. Aromas are of roasted malts, earthy hops, some yeasty bread.
Medium mouthfeel, decent body. More of an amber ale than an IPA.
Decent beer overall. jeremyd365 (109), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Aug 23, 2008 Poured a very hazy orangy-copper with a large, fluffy, off-white head. The hop smell are apparent even a good distance from the glass, and it’s piney and citrusy. The hop flavor is strong and robust and delicious. It’s not over the top, but it’s huge. The aftertaste is piney and fruity. It’s a very drinkable and yummy IPA. tiedyedtyler (2), , Iowa, USA does not count Aug 22, 2008 Bottle from Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits. Pours deep copper with decent cream colored head. Citrus fruits and grass on the nose. Highly carbonated and not too heavy on the palate. One of my favorites from Sierra Nevada. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2008 Bottle from Market Street in Allen, TX.
Pours a nice orange amber with off-white head, lacing. Aroma has some pine, not over powering. Flavor is a nice, lightly sweet with high bitter, grapefruit and pine, some caramel. Mouthfeel is light-medium body with high carbonation....Over all, This is a great beer from Sierra Nevada. nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Aug 22, 2008 Sampled at Brew at the Zoo at the National Zoo in Washington DC. The girl pouring the sample said that this was her favorite of all the Sierra Nevada beers. Whoop dee doo. Pours a orangey copper with a very frothy, active white head. Smells fairly standard, wasn’t overloaded with hops, just a touch of grains and biscuits. Mild nose to say the least. Flavor was the same, some citrus, some bread, nothing to knock your socks off. Finish was a little bitter, but fairly weak. The cascade hops should have been the star, instead this was one of the more disappointing beers I tried all night.
