Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head with excellent lacing. The aroma is tons of caramel and sweet citrus hops. The flavor is very nice; tons of ripe grapefruit, some bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Some light caramel malts and biscuit also. The hops really stand out, not just by being prominent, anyone can add a shitload of an ingredient, but they are so clean and fresh. I’m glad I had this so soon after this year’s release. Very nice, for a good price and easy availability Sierra Nevada is awesome. marcus (1850), Sacramento, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2008 Poured a great-looking caramel orange color with a small white fluffy head. Taste is very good for an IPA, not overly bitter by any means. Just a slight hop taste in the finish. I’m pleasantly surprised by this beer.
