buckyp (32), Rio Rancho, New Mexico, USA Aug 16, 2008 2008 Anniversary Ale...very similar to SN’s Pale Ale (one of my favorite session ales). Color is a bright, pale, clear gold. Big, slightly off-white head that tapers down to 1/4 inch by glass end. Great lacing. Nice big hoppy aroma. Clean, hoppy flavor without a lot of complexity. Finish is a little quicker than I wish it was. Great ale on a hot day. rustychiles (1007), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 15, 2008 Pours an amber with a reddish hue and a large foamy head. Aroma of hops, malt, pine, and citrus. Flavor is poweful citrusy hops, balanced by a solid malt backbone. Solid IPA. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 14, 2008 Bottle 2008: Full flavored, tons of hops, herbal and floral. Oily and very good. Damico (162), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2008 This delicious, hoppy ale carries out a flavor in the tradition of Sierra Nevada. The cascade hops are potent, especially for someone who enjoys a strong IPA flavor. The color isn’t impressive, a little on the lighter side when comparing to others. thefederalist (226), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA Aug 13, 2008 Updated: Sep 10, 2009This looks, smells, and tastes like Linenkeugle’s (sp?) Sunset Wheat, and since they are next to each other on the draught wall, I’ll maintain the mean rating until I resample. Forvgive me for lowering the standard deviation. 7/4/7/4/14/3.6

Bottle. Pours a pure copper with a nice white puffy head that dissipates as it sits and leaves a slight lacing in the class. Aroma of big cascade hops, and in large quantities. Less of the "sierra nevada twang" that seems ubiquitous to these beers. This is truly a delight. Well rounded, bitter and dry. A pleasure. bennylava (83), California, USA Aug 13, 2008 12 oz bottle. Not bad, typical Sierra Nevada qualities. I prefer the Pale Ale though. punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA Aug 13, 2008 2007 Bottle. Light hops and citrus scent. Dark yellow appearance with little to no head. Flavor is of strong hops with a light sugary sweetness. Overall a good IPA, but I’ve had better. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear copper-gold with a huge white, rocky head that lasts for quite a while, with lacing the entire glass. Aroma is bright and sharply hoppy - juicy pine and sweet citrus. Taste is marked by hops from beginning to end - dry, clean herbal bitterness combining with a a lightly sweet, biscuity malt undertone at the beginning, quickly moving towards a greater citrus and pine presence as the malt recedes, and finishing with a lasting, prickly resiny bitterness. Finish is long and dry, lots of pine and a hint of slightly toasty, dry malt on the exhale. Palate is medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation.
As the beer warms, the initial malt note become sweeter and more prominent.
