junon (210), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Jul 7, 2008 2008. Amber with good size foamy head. When I smell this beer I can best describe it as green. Plants and growth just comes to mind. Coming off of 2 American style Pale Ales that were more floral than herbal. Sharp and bold tasting with a nice kick. SN always comes through. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 Updated: Sep 9, 2008Bottle at ÅBF08. Good white bread aroma with a refreshing hoppiness. Clear golden colour. Good bitterness, fruity and grassy hoppiness to flavour. 6 3 7 3 15
Cask at GBBF08. Weak caramelly hop aroma. Clear copper colour. Small frothy head. The flavour is quite hoppy, biting from the start. Good caramelly and grassy hop flavour, quite clean. 8 3 8 3 18 Lalli (149), Helsinki, Finland Jul 2, 2008 0,33 l bottle. Great amber color. Nose includes hops, citrus and malts. Taste is very bitter with a refreshing grapefruit touch to it - I like it! Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Jul 2, 2008 Bottle at Chris O’s 19th April 2008 tasting. Orangey amber with little head. Hoppy on the nose, but well balanced with soft malts on the tongue. Great mouthfeel and great beer overall. robbmotiwalla (50), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jul 1, 2008 crisp and bitter. highly carbonated with a nice frothy head that lingers for pretty much the entire beer. the bitter bite seems pretty much like the same as all the other sierra nevada brews. but worth a shot. an average IPA fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a one finger white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine hops with sweet malt and a hint of caramel in the background. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and crisp finish. Very good. RedSox2004 (353), Pacific Palisades, California, USA Jun 30, 2008 Updated: Jul 19, 20082008 edition has a bright golden amber color and a one-finger head that dissipated quickly and left little lacing. Fairly strong but pleasant citrus - grapefruit mostly - and pine hops aromas. Malts were detected in the taste to balance out the hops, but the bitterness was clear in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with good carbonation. My first was pretty warm, I think colder would be better. RERATE: colder is better - woody Cascade hops flavors seem much more intense and add much to the experience. Beer2000 (1775), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 25, 2008 355ml bottle. Clear, golden orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is citrus and hay. Flavor is refreshing bitter with grapefruit fruitiness and a grassy bitter finish. Not really complicated but very well made.
