Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale

Amber with a giant head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with complex hops: grape, orange, grass and some straw. The flavour is perfectly balanced between a malty base and a firm hoppy bitternes that ends a bit salty and dry.

Copper color with a small head. Aroma is citrus and pine with a slight spiciness. Flavors are caramel, citrus and pine.

Poured with a fluffy beige head and light orange color. Aroma was of spicy, citrusy hops. Nice mouth feel, bitterness is not overwhelming. Malt is subdued to allow the cascades to come through but there for balance. A slightly smaller version of the pale ale. This is a good all-around beer.

Bottle: Amberr with an off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma, citrus, grape and pine with a bit of malty sweetness. Flavor is well balanced between the hoppiness and the citrus/grape and pine.

Sept. 2007 - Deep copper color with a foamy soda like head, just a little lacing. Bitter aroma, kind of a mix of lagerlike aroma and citrus. Flavor is bitter orange hops with some herbal aspects. Mouthfeel is moderately smooth, but not as thick as a really good IPA...improved as it warmed. An alright IPA, but nothing that makes this stands out against the dozens of others I’ve tried.

this is a really great ipa. can’t understand why s.n. doesn’t make this a full time beer. its citrusy, floral, a little malty, smooth....just a great beer....

Light Carbonation. Body is thin even for an IPA. Tastes like the Pale Ale but a bit stronger and fruitier. Not the best Sierra Nevada out there but definitely a great addition.

350 ml bottle. Amber color. Nice, big off-white head. Aroma is hoppy. Flavor is hops with sweet malt and some fruit. High carbonation. Really nice and enjoyable beer.
