onlyrocknroll (218), Cork, Ireland Jan 25, 2008 Dark orange and clear with a mdium sized head. Big clean cascade aroma. Clean, crisp and moderately bitter, citrus and caremel. Very drinkable for an IPA I felt. Quite good. cab (861), Denmark Jan 21, 2008 Updated: May 2, 2008Bottle.33cl. Fine hoppy nose, malty aroma, solid head, good orange color. soft carbo. Egon (392), Gothenburg, Sweden Jan 21, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden with creamy, white head. Fruit and hops. Citrus. Low carbonated and medium body. kramer (2406), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 20, 2008 12 oz bottle, via jsquire. Pours a clear copper body under a nice foamy one finger off-white head with nice retention. Nice signature Sierra Nevada nose, but don’t really see a whole lot of difference between this and the Pale Ale. The hopping is a little more prominent in the flavor, landing somewhere higher than Pale, but well below Celebration. Mouthfeel is similar to Pale, with moderate fizzy soft carbonation. Overall, this was pretty good, because pretty much everything from SN is good, but it doesn’t seem to be much more than another line extension from the Pale Ale. I’d like to do a blind taste of the Pale, IPA, Anniversary, and Celebration and see really how different they are. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Jan 13, 2008 Bottle. Fluffy but long lasting off-white head leaving curtains on the glass. Beautiful clear amber body. Fruity dusty aroma apples and peaches maybe with a lemon touch. Mild and fresh hops bitterness dominates the flavor which is long lasting and stays in the aftertaste. Low carbonation adds to make this beer quite impressive. raymondwave (867), Finland Jan 9, 2008 Updated: Apr 9, 2008Bottle 0.355 l at Kaisla, Helsinki. Red amber, smallish quickly disappearing head. Nose is strongly flowery and perfume fresh, cascade hops I assume. Flavor is only subtly bitter and somewhat one dimensional. Some maltiness and feels a bit british. A bit of a disappointment, but enjoyable. Re-rate: Another taste shows more of the grape and lime citric flavors as well as some hidden mustiness or even cabbage. Fine beer, if not a bit boring. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA Jan 8, 2008 Updated: Feb 29, 2008NIce golden amber pour. Aroma of citrus, pine, and some melon. Very smooth hints of orange and pine. One of my fav. IPA’s i’ve ever had. BeerBiker (1384), Odense, Denmark Jan 8, 2008 Wow, great beer with more great IPA-notes than many others. Would definately buy some more indeed. Great amber look with good nice head and an aroma of wonderful flowers. Grapy flavor of grass, some spices and a mediumbitter good finish.
