| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 21, 2009 bottle: pint glass: I honestly did not expect much from this beer and was pleasantly surprised... pours a rich amber/ light brown, foams up well leaving a thin layer of head. The nose gave away the all too familiar bitter hops... the taste revealed much of the same. Crisp, bright hops with an obvious hint of citrus. A very refreshing a light body with plenty of flavor. tekhna (102), California, USA

Aroma is solid, but not spectacular. Subtle, but still very nice. Mostly floral.
Excellent bitterness, mango on the sides, sort of indistinct hop flavor, but still very nice. Feels a bit muddled, but still tasty. Lots of pine. Balanced, like all SN beers.

Assuming it’s the 2009 version, but don’t know for sure....I can’t imagine it’s an older version. Pretty good, very very hoppy. Pours an amber-orange with a white head that lasts. Nice lacing. Definitely a pine scent, a little citrusy in the background. Bitter nose, bitter finish...just very hoppy. 13mikey (139), New Hope, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2009 2009 release. 12 oz bottle from Crystal Liquor Barrel. Deep golden color, thick foamy white head. Sharp pungent hops aroma, touch of citrus with a hint of pine. Mild hops in the flavor with a bit of pine, finish is sharp like the aroma, bitter from the hops. Solid, unique IPA. wickedpete (626), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Amber body with a small cream head that leaves filmy lacing. Strong citrus and caramel aroma with bits of grapefruit and pine. Flavor is quite dry and bitter without much sweetness, although the finish is a bit thick. The body could be lighter with more floral hop flavor, this is mostly just bitterness. mcc5468 (103), USA

What a good looking beer, I swear this looks like a picture from Michael Jackson’s (the beer guy, not the other one), books. Great orange/amber color. Medium head. Aroma is hoppy but not overpowering. A great drinking beer if you like IPAs but sometimes just want to have a lighter IPA without all of the alcohol. Good hop taste, very refreshing. A good hoppy beer but not Fratto (704), Arlington, Texas, USA
