Took it from the bottle so have to guess on the appearance, but it’s one I’d try again. 00cobraR (1103), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Nose is floral, orange, grapefruit. Taste starts and ends with orangepeal, and in between there is some grapefruit, lime, and some metallic aftertaste. Also a bit of soapiness. Body is light. Carbonation moderate/high. BREWMUSKCLES (1094), New Jersey, USA

A BIT FRUITPUNCHY WITH A NICE GRAPEFRUIT FLAVOR THAT IS NOT BITTER. GOOD BARLEY MALT FLAVOR IS BACKED OFF FOR THE HOPHEAD IN ALL OF US. TASTES A LOT LIKE A SIERRA NEVADA PALE ALE -AND A LITTLE BIT BETTER- SINCE I IS A LITTLE MORE COMPLEX Reid (1093), Salem, Oregon, USA

Nice looking light amber/orage beer, lovelly large thick creamy light tan head.
Aroma all hops, citric a touch of malt in the back.
Hoppy taste, again citric though more in the lemony direction than the grapefruit. The malts are hear for strong backing.
Ok on the palate, nothing to write home about.
Overall an OK IPA, drinkable, but oddly i prefered the more "English" styled regular IPA as far as drinkability goes. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2009 12oz bottle. first pour is mostly head; very frothy and thick light tan merangue. rocky and dimply. color is a cloudy light amber/copper color, golden at edges and lots of tiny yeast particles. heavy lacing hangs like injection-foam. toasted caramel malt aroma, mild grapefruit peel, and light fresh pine needles. flavor is like the aroma, light caramel/crystal malt, some mildly dry hop bitterness, and a bit of grapefruit section - pulp with pith. low but sprighlty carbonation, snappy hop finish. light spice aftertaste. top notch session beer!
