mgermani (581), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 18, 2008 Pours a stunning orange-copper with a great creamy head with excellent retention. Aroma is sweet, with notes of orange creamsicle, very faint though. As the head was still present when I sipped I tasted it first - it was like cotton-candy, sweet orange! When I got to the liquid it was sweet and orangey at first, but opened up into a leafy bitterness that complimented the orange perfectly, ending on a dry note with just a hint of orange blossom. Wow! Body is thin but crisp and well carbonated. This is a really pleasant beer, and I like the fruity character. Light and contemplative.
Bigmmartin (185), Dayton, Ohio, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bottle. Transparent golden with a large white head. The aroma is citrus hops. The flavor is mild, a balanced mix of pine and hops, but nothing extravagant. Mildly bitter finish. A nice all around IPA but rather average. ChazMania (285), Pasadena, California, USA Aug 19, 2008 Tapped here at a local pub. Golden and clear with huge head. The flavor was much more mild than other ipa’s. I like my pine and citrus in my ipa’s and this seemed to not accentuate either of those flavors. jrmac (121), USA Aug 19, 2008 Copper color with huge white head. Smells of hops, caramel, and malt. Nice balance. Crisp and refreshing. This one tasted as if the hops had been lightly toasted: very bitter for a fresh hop beer. However, it did have a good balance of malt to balance out the bitterness. Overall, this brew was very smooth on the palate. Nice lacing on the glass as it went down.
