COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This new version of our sought-after collaboration brew with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton Delaware rested for 10 months in American Bourbon barrels. Barrel-Aged Life & Limb is dark mahogany-brown in color with massive aromas reminiscent of rich roasted malts, with heady notes of vanilla and toasted coconut from the oak. Round and early flavors dominate this full-bodied beer, with hints of maple, toasted pecan, and raisin.

All the same qualities described in the regular life and limb with the addition of strong coconut and vanilla overtones. Very smooth and complimentary to the dark syrupy flavors of the original.

Great aroma of rich dried fruits and caramelised suger. Very dark in appearance, perfect mouthfeel, Long lasting creamy head. Unique sweetness with complex flavours and subtle hop finish. Alcohol is not as apparent as you would think for 10.2%. Really enjoyed this one and it can only get better with age. This will taste truly amazing if left for a few years

Tap, CK. Dark khaki head; nearly black but mostly mahogany. Nice bourbon aromas but with dark fruit malty sweetness. Licorice, caramel, bit of woodiness, some savory characteristics followed by a slightly sweet-sour notes in the end. Thicker, viscous body. Pretty nice.

What a great aroma, fruit and vanilla. A lot of wine, some alcohol, prunes, caramel. The pour is very dark like molasses with a tan head. The flavor has all of the same elements along with a bit of smoke. It is full bodied with a very long lasting after taste that is quite nice. Better than the original.

Wonderful toffee and vanilla start with some licorice root. The maple and birch go hand in hand and give the flavor a sweet but not overly sweet flavor. Lightly robust or toast with a mixture of chocolate and light roasted coffee. The hops provide a light pine and flower flavor. Lots going on and balanced quite well.

On tap at City Beer in SF. Dark brown almost no head. Vanilla, oak, bourbon, sweet (assume the maple syrup), some burnt or caramelized malts. Good carbonation (mild), medium bodied, sweet from the vanilla, nice finish - emphasis on the bourbon and some booze/bite. Very good but could do with a bit of age.

4oz pour at the Lupulin Reunuless at RFD DC. Pours a opaque, deep brown with a thin, creamy, beige head. Smells of cacao pods, vanilla beans, coconut, rum, cookies, butterscotch, cane sugar. Flavor is sweet, maple, rum, chocolate malt milkshakes, birch, raisins, vanilla, rootbeer. Full bodied, vanilla sweet finish. The birch is still there holding everything together. Super smooth and still very complex.
