3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle into a Trappist chalice. Pours dark reddish brown with thin tan head which quickly dissipates. Little aroma but what there is is fruity and pleasant. Taste is very malty and fruity; a little too sweet for my tastes. I tasted no hops whatsoever. Very nice on the palate with a medium body. Very nice brew if you don’t mind it a bit on the sweet side.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle [from trade with abitker, thanks!] shared with friends. Nice red-brown color with a dark red glare and an average sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is a bit faint apart from a clear bourbon touch. Taste malts, sweetish, bourbon, caramel, slight candy sugar. Don’t get the red wine influence. Medium body and carbonation. Quite pleasant. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from one stop. Was skeptical to see a top 50 dubbel not from Belgium. The look and nose seem right on. Hazy, red orange, some head retention and lace, not tons. Nose is heavily cherries with a bit of yeasty spiciness. Tart, crisp, start. Yeast and apples blasts you a bit but in a great way and do not overwhelm. Then it just fades out gracefully. Yes really good, but not like a dubbel when the drinking part starts.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped $18 poured into a Trappist glass. Opaque medium brown with small beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity dark malt, medium body, medium soft carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is fruity (light raisin) dark malt, some earthiness, and some red vineous. Overpriced for me.
