Pours a dark amber brown. Aroma is pretty weak with a surprising strong flavor. Very smooth palate with strong banana and hints of caramel and coconut.

Bottle-Pours deep amber brown hue with a very small spritsy kacki head and no lacing to mention. Not the greatest looking brew thats for sure. nose is big on the vanilla, woody, dark fruit, toasted malt husks, Flavors of big sweet oak-y vanilla, toasted malt, dark fruits (plums, rasins), Big finish of sweet vanilla, woody notes, slightly tart with lots of dark fruits. This is quite a nice beer. Not overly complex, but enough to keep things very interesting. Well put together brew here.

750 ml bottle into a Trappist chalice. Pours dark reddish brown with thin tan head which quickly dissipates. Little aroma but what there is is fruity and pleasant. Taste is very malty and fruity; a little too sweet for my tastes. I tasted no hops whatsoever. Very nice on the palate with a medium body. Very nice brew if you donít mind it a bit on the sweet side.

Nice brown with a light beige head. Medium bodied, lightly creamy mouthfeel, complex on the palate with a long lightly sweet finish. Taste is raisins, caramel, brown sugar. Yum.

Bottle [from trade with abitker, thanks!] shared with friends. Nice red-brown color with a dark red glare and an average sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is a bit faint apart from a clear bourbon touch. Taste malts, sweetish, bourbon, caramel, slight candy sugar. Donít get the red wine influence. Medium body and carbonation. Quite pleasant. Nice.

Bottle from one stop. Was skeptical to see a top 50 dubbel not from Belgium. The look and nose seem right on. Hazy, red orange, some head retention and lace, not tons. Nose is heavily cherries with a bit of yeasty spiciness. Tart, crisp, start. Yeast and apples blasts you a bit but in a great way and do not overwhelm. Then it just fades out gracefully. Yes really good, but not like a dubbel when the drinking part starts.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped $18 poured into a Trappist glass. Opaque medium brown with small beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity dark malt, medium body, medium soft carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is fruity (light raisin) dark malt, some earthiness, and some red vineous. Overpriced for me.

CC bottle from Caponeís. Pours hazy muddy brown with tan head, Nose was earthy malt, assertive oak, vinous fruit, fig. Tastes rich, hefty and complex on the palate, with big oak, viney fruit, earthy yeast, and a complex finish. This one is great.

Poured out of a bomber brought back from Sacramento. Brown sugar, bourbon, smoke. This is a fabulous beer. Pours dark, opaque. No head. No lacing. Shared with friends. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
